It sounds to me as if you have it out of time. Which motor do you have in your car? Im thinking its a 1.6l d16y8 or d16y7? To check your timing take a rachet and turn the crank pulley backwards 6 times and all the marks on the cam and crank line up after that you are in time if not try again.

Antony I would just put it in your truck like some others have said, with a couple guys you should be able to pust it up into your truck easily. Those bikes dont't honestly weigh that much, so you shouldn't have a problem.
Pella, Rosati, or Anderson are all good brands. They are not to bad to install if you are handy, just have a friend there to help you as some of the doors can be quite heavy.
