  1. Is this an electric razor style? Or does it have a gas motor already?

No, it's a gas motor on it. But, it has lights, speedo, and electronic ignition and all that junk. It also has a battery that I don't have the charger for. Hell, find a way to charge it and it may fire LOL. I don't have a clue. Like I said, I was just going to rip out all of that crap and put a regular motor on it.

Trade you for a set of your water skis?? :D

  2. I just had mine done 2 years ago. Was very cheap. I think he closed up his shop and is working for someone else now. I will call him and see if he wants any side work. Mine came out great.

Definitely check craigslist, but avoid sunfun marine like the plague. All kinds of number changing will happen.

Also, PM Total Sign (Tommy). He has a Amish guy that does good cheap work.

  3. I've heard many times about how they are pretty terrible offroad and in snow, that's just the first thing that came up when I did a search. I don't have any first hand experience with one.

In the original article I posted, it mentions how any vehicle, fwd, rwd, awd, sports car or SUV becomes perfectly drivable in the snow if you put snow tires on.

No snow tires here, still does great. I get what you are saying though. Now you can put one positive mark in for the X5 from someone else. :D

My Ram kicks it's ass for sure though.

  4. My Ram in 4 wheel has not been stuck or slid off the road yet. I have had it in some crazy snow - not found in Ohio - that a car AWD or not couldn't think about touching. Here in Ohio though, I would say most AWD/4WD vehicles are pretty evenly matched, pending the tires and mainly the driver.

The X5 AWD does pretty great too. My RWD 5 series sucks a big one. It just has wide ass all season tires though since I have the truck. That probably has alot to do with it.

  5. both

Kick ass. Who's it made by again?

and its on hold at the moment, throwing 20k at the motor build cut into play biz cash, what do you need done, you may push me over the edge on it ;)

Well actually, the interior is good - already done. But, I was hoping if I could push you to start the interior biz, I can get you to venture into covers too. :D That I need badly. I guess eventually I will have to take it to your Amish buddy if you don't get into them.

  6. Thats a pretty good deal Matt. 24ft deep seems like you might be pushing it from tongue to drive unit.

I know when I had my boat in my great grandfathers garage I had to drop the stern drive to an inch off the ground to save some space. It wasn't necessary because there was still 8ft of room. But for work space it kept it out of the way.

I will be VERY close if it works. I will definitely have to put the drive down. It was nice when I was at my old house, the garage was HUGE...for a house. I could get it in sideways, it made it by like 2 inches. It's nowhere close to fitting in my current house.

I really want it inside somewhere though. I hate it sitting out.
