    This is slightly off topic, but my 5 series was really bad about brake dust too. Same as you said, 2 days and the fronts wheels were black. As soon as it needed new pads I went to ceramics and that really helped. The wife's X5 is the same and will be changed to ceramic as soon as it needs them.

     

    Like I said, kinda off topic, but it may help with whatever fix you go with on the caps and help prevent from happening again.

    I haven't picked anything out yet. I was just stating what I was gonna buy. There is a 650 double pumper I could get. I don't want to go with to big of a cam but I want something decent. The heads are just the Sbc aluminum jegs brand heads listed on their site. The carb can be whatever.

     

    Cool, we are just making sure you don't regret your choices and have too buy things more then once. Or, that you have a setup that doesn't work well together.

     

    On the cam, post up which you are thinking about. Or research it on some of those boating sites I gave you. If you ask for input from someone somewhere else, make sure they know you have a stock exhaust. Without changing exhausts, reversion can be a huge issue with too much cam.

    Should I just strap a blower to my 350 or should I put a set of heads, cam, intake and carb on it. I wanna make close to 400 hp, both will cost about the same if I buy a used blower. Also the blower won't require me taking the whole motor apart.

    Thoughts?

     

    I would say if you are planning on keeping the boat around for a while and will be sticking with a SB, I would build the motor first and build it for the blower. Actually, that's exactly what I did do. LOL :cool:

     

    Blowers do sound cool though and I do love the instant power. How well will your current motor hold up to the blower?

    I'm looking at getting this by the end of this week. Does seem to really integrate the controls nicely. I saw a few different ones cheap at Odd Lots too.

    My father in law has this one...it felt weird to me using it.

     

    I have the perfect shot one if you want to come grab it. You can use it (even keep it if you like it) for a while. I probably haven't used it in at least a year. It was my favorite out of the ones I have tried. Let me know if you want to swing by and grab it. I can leave it out for you somewhere if I'm not around.

    I have never heard of this fee and go years between renewing all the toys. Everything from the boats, jetskis, bike and campers.

     

    It was new.....last year, I think. If you are 7 days late renewing your tags, it is an extra 20 dollars, if I am remembering the specifics correctly. They made it exclude seasonal vehicles. It even says it on the BMV's website. However, not all the BMV's got this memo. Over on OR alot of people were having trouble with it. I went in ready to battle when I did my tags, but got lucky I guess....they must have got the memo.

    That's not what the F'ers at the BMV told me the last time I asked about this a few months ago... double check, go with whoever gives you the least democratic tax scamming based answer...

     

    It's true. I did not have to pay a penalty for my bike or my boat trailer. It was two different BMV's too. The bike was at the Bethel/Hayden location and the boat trailer was at the Lewis Center 23 location.

     

    I didn't even have to fight for it. They just asked if I had used them at all since they expired. I told them no, which was true, and they renewed them and waived the fee. Try a different location next time.

    Hey nice looking bike. Just wanted to give you a friendly tip if it doesn't sell....don't worry about renewing your tags. There is no late penalty for seasonal vehicles. So as long as you aren't riding it just let it sell through the winter and renew in the spring if you still have it.

    $75 - HP 7110 All in one Printer/copier/fax/scanner. This is not one of those cheap ones you see out there. This is for heavy duty office use. It is also the Legal paper size, not the normal letter. I havent used it in about a year or two. I needed a new print head. They are 30 or so if i remember correctly. The scanning and faxing part still operates as normal. I still have the original CD's and manuals that came with it. I paid well over 400 for this thing.

    $40 - 29 Gallon Reptile Tank and stand- Had a turtle in it last. Let my cousin use it and he gave it back looking nasty like this. The seals held water the last time it was used...a year or two ago. Needs cleaned obviously.

    $100 - Kicker Comps 12" and box - Probably 5 years old now. Used for about a year. Worked great but sold car the were in. Have been in basement since. My cat has used the box carpet as his scratching post, so the box needs re-wrapped.
