No, it's a GSX-R600. SRAD stands for Suzuki Ram Air Direct (I think) And it's not a Gixxer either.. ;)

I love the FJR and ST1300, (except they both tend to put out quite a bit of heat around your legs) and would love to ride either one across the country, but for around local around town shit, they can be a bit cumbersome. I'd probably keep your bike for now (especially considering what you owe) and pick up a nice used VFR or FZ1 a little later. Or even a nice used 600 if you'll still have the "couch" for your wife to ride on as well.

I'm a big fan of the adventure touring scene as well. Just got rid of my DR650 for the new Wr250R because I wanted something lighter and more off road friendly. My dream bike is the R1200GS but will most likely end up with a V-Strom 650 much sooner. I'm also on ADVrider and Strom-Troopers. Sara and I were just out doing a bit of adventure touring yesterday, although she is just learning, so some of the "adventure" part was not intentional. Anyway...

Sara did awesome today!! We rode for a couple hours, just through the local neighborhoods and then did quite of slow moving maneuvering in an a big empty parking lot. She's gonna be riding like a pro in no time. She never even dropped the bike once and only stalled it a couple times. Considering today was only the 4th time she's ever been on a bike, and the first time ever on real roads, I think thats pretty damn good.

Glad to hear you're doing better man. I've been through life threatening injuries, so my heart really goes out to you.

If you're not crashing on the dirt, you're not riding hard enough! I know my limits, I just tend to push them... a lot. Most of the broken bones came from racing BMX for over 10 years, which I was racing Pro for the last 2 or 3. Most of the surgeries came from only 2 crashes, both of which required multiple surgeries. I actually don't crash that often, but when I do, I do it right!

Haha good explanation! I've broken 19 bones and had 22 surgeries.. so far. Mostly (actually all I think) from growing up riding/racing motocross and BMX. Oh wait, actually I broke my wrist skiing once.

I don't touch any of my motorcycles without a helmet, it's just those damn bicycles...
