  1. Max, we went to a local pub called Brewskies many moons ago, and one friend brought his girl. With her came a few nice pieces, BUT one that had to be 330 or 340. The ratio of girl/guy was even, so we were kind of worried because he never had one of that size.

Never fear Aardvark(his nickname) is here. He didn't even bat an eye, right onit he went.

  2. These bikes are sold. I have a 97 KX 250 and a 02 TTR 125.

The kx is scary fast. It is in excellent condition. The motor was redone in 08. Lots of aftermarket stuff. I have rode the bike like 6 times this year and it was just around the house, giving the kids a ride. I'm asking $1400, but for OR members I'll take $1200 (as long as your rep is in the positive, lol).

The 125 is in great shape, also. This bike is perfect for beating around the trails. It has very low hours. It has full FMF pipe, Uni-filter. The tires are about 3/4 tread. I am asking $1000, OR members special is $900.

I need to sell at least one of these bikes to get an suv. My little Toyota Pickup is not big enough for me and my family.

Pics are in my album. http://www.ohio-riders.net/album.php?albumid=96

  3. Maybe the thief/thieves read the following post. Congrats by the way.

+1 Scrappers just might be dumb enough to think that shit would be trash... I would still kick some ass and get the bikes back if possible' date=' but parking stripped down bikes by the curb and leaving them is poor planning. Dublin has been pretty good on crime, mostly teenagers without enough supervision doing minor vandalism and such. But I see the scrappers running around picking up old appliances all the time. Nothing sits on our street for more than a few hours.

I try to keep mine parked where it is more difficult to load them into trucks without looking extremely suspicious. People take more notice if you have to back a truck into a yard or carry a locked bike around cars by hand to load it into the back. Also the nearer to the house doors the criminals are forced to work the more nervous it typically makes them. The easy snatch is too much temptation for the opportunistic criminal type and very hard to catch after the fact.

Not really, works sometimes but I have had people lie to me under simple threat of a quick death. Not that they are macho, but they watch movies and TV a lot and don't think you will really blow their brains out. This is no good for getting information since if you prove your point, they can't answer anyway and you can only cock the hammer back dramatically so many times before you just appear unable to operate the firearm. Torture is unreliable, messy and takes effort to do correctly. Plus, more evidence gets left behind....

If you really want to pump them, make them dig their own six by six. The physical labor and time to think has a profound psychological effect. Negotiation will start immediately, but don't get baited in just yet. Continue to make them dig as if you are only interested in saving the labor yourself and soon they will stop negotiating and start spilling everything they know in desperation. If they refuse to dig, explain that if you have to dig it, they will be lying on the ground screaming their death from a gut shot but if they dig it they can die tired, but swiftly. Anger does not typically play well, shows a lack of control on the part of the interrogator and weakens your position. Do this calmly, methodically, but without discussion or apparent mercy. Once they believe you, the work is already done. I can tell you that this method has never failed to get me truthful answers, and the sight of a grown man crying....[/quote']

  4. I don't worry about anyone's gear but mine. There are a few kids that ride wheelies past my house most of the time they have helmets. They make me shake my head sometimes.

I think a lot of people don't think about the ride. If I'm just going to the store it's helmet and whatever I have on. A lot of the people you see without gear, may be making a store run.

  5. They are Cobra Drags, no baffles. They were on the bike when I bought it. Played a part in my decision making process.

My old roommate had an 05 shadow 750 with those Cobras. It sounded so close to a harley it was almost criminal.

  6. I wasn't going to speak on this matter, but I have nothing better to do.

Dave, DO NOT PAY A DIME for the services "performed".! I realize they are acting a if to be all helpful, since you talked to the owner. You should have never had to talk to the owner! A motor can be rebuilt in a day, 3 days if you have to order parts. a clutch that was working, will work, unless installed WRONG!

Call an attorney and find out about the lemon law.

Another option is the right to recind. If it had something wrong within 3 days you can use that.

If they say you owe them anything, mention what said lawyer tells you. They should be buying you gear, beer, and taking it out of your rear(with vasoline).

  7. thanks all

  8. Last Sat. my knee started being aggravated. Sunday it was killing me. Monday I went to see my family dr., he sent me to orthopedic dr.

I went there on Tuesday. they drained about a pint of fluid from my knee. by the time I got home I felt like a hundred bucks. maybe hundred and fitty.

I went to work on Thursday and it started hurting again. By Friday night I was crying from pain. I went to the ortho dr. Sat. morning to get the fluid drained again, but there wasn't much. It was swelled twice as big as before, though.

The ortho dr. said go home and pack my shit and head to Good Sam Hospital and he would see me in the morning.

I got here yesterday around 1:pm, I've been on a strict percocet and morphine diet, since.

Well this morning the doc showed up and said they were going to do an irrigation on my knee. Next thing I remember is waking up, still in severe pain (the past few days have been the worst pain I have ever felt). Finally, at 1:45 am the pain is letting up some.

I still have to stay till at least 8:00pm tomorrow night.

At least I have O.R. to keep me occupied.

If anyone is near tomorrow and bored or wants to bring me a banana creme pie blizzard from dairy queen, I'm in room 8153.
