  1. My cousin has the penguin and I used it extensively while visiting a couple weeks ago. I only used it to make seltzer water and it's fantastic. I'm not a big soda drinker so I didn't try any of the flavors, but my guess is the energy drink will fall flat compared to redbull.

The other thing is the replacement CO2 cartridges are expensive to replace. When you factor that into the price of the unit it's really not that cheap. Well, maybe for energy drinks that are $2 apiece, but not for sodas or seltzer. There's a company that makes a valve you can put on the cartridge that allows you to refill it at a paintball shop or industrial gas store at a fraction of the cost of a new cartridge. If I were to get a sodastream this is the route I'd go.

  2. BTW the Astars GP series (upgrade from the SP) went to their new knuckle because they found it to be stronger than the CF they were prev using. I like CF too, so I found that interesting.

They went away from CF because it cracks upon impact, whereas the poly-material they're using for the GP doesn't. Plus they're able to intergrate vents into the GP knuckles. That being said, there's a pair of $300+ Dianese gloves that have CF knuckles.

FWIW I wear the A* SP1 and love everything about them other than the fact that the palms are starting to show wear after only 1.5 seasons.

  3. You mean on the insurance buyback? They picked it up to do the quote. If it's a good price we will probably turn it into a track bike.

O I thought insurance already claimed it. The 750 needs to be the track bike.

  4. Idk, I was just told that maybe if I put a PC on it then that might wake it up a little. like i said, idk much about it. Maybe I do need to go on some diff roads though, I mainly just ride it as a mode of transportation and havent been on many "recreational" rides. Idk the roads around here

A PC at best will smooth out your throttle response and may get you a few HP, but if you don't have any mods it won't be much. Definately not worth the money if you're bike is mainly used for transportation.

You'd be amazed at the potential of you bike in it's stock form if you took it out on some more engaging rides.

  5. Check your wall Jimmy. I don't know which statement is more humorous Campus Racer's claim to the advanced class or your claim to be the "president of the hump crew". I'm gonna go with aforementioned being that you're addicted to track days and this is a motorcycle forum not a sex site. :D

I agree, I don't think I'm fast and my track record isn't exactly stellar. But, if an instructor tells me to run advanced, I'm going to run advanced.:rulez:

But enough of that, back to your regularly schedueled contest thread :D
