If you end up doing a lot of the prep work yourself I have a surveying laser and receiver to help get the forms level. I actually have never used it, but would always be interested in figuring it out.
Sounds like it'd be an interesting weekend project though.
I'm trained in how to use that stuff, let me know if you want to fuck around with it sometime.

should be close to 3 qts man. mine holds like 2.6. check your owners manual and make sure you put in the right amount. oh and did you fill up the filter before you put it on?It takes a little over 3 quarts to fill my 06 Suzuki.
Seriously!?
I'm not saying you guys are wrong, but my 750 says 2200ml on the case but i usually only put ~2.5 quarts with a filter change.
How long did you run it? I know my light won't go off for about 15 sec after starting but I think it has something to do with the dry sump.Your RSV is dry sump?

Wait, what suit is OG wearing?
My birthday suit:D

Hey at least you didnt just not turn and run into the grass.
So you're telling me you'd dump the bike rather than stand it up and continue with the session?
If I didn't run into the grass my bike would look very similar to whodey's.
That or I was just taking the motard line!!

if you want more power/torque definitely go down teeth in the front, up in the back... you lose top end and gas mileage, but how often do you peg it in 6th anyway?
For a 600 this is actually false. They lack the HP to rev out 6th in the first place so the gearing will actually produce the same speed but at a different, higher, rpm.

Oh and BTW I won the argument because I owned your rep
I'm off to ride, there are valid points in here. I'll spread it around and give some back.
What's rep?

I like the Bimota comparison better too
imHo I just don't like buying something so someone will go "Oooh that's a _(Insert brand name here)_!"
I agree wholeheartedly, but trying to justify why you won't buy it by calling it crap isn't really fair.
Sure you'll be paying for name, exclusivity, blah blah blah, but it also isn't a gussied up yugo either.

only reason they move a ton of bikes is because their bikes weigh so much

It's more along the lines of why people buy Bimota motorcycles. They're basically a Ducati, trellis frame, Ohlins suspension, Marchesini wheels etc. But, they're handbuilt, only 2/day. And they fetch $200k+. For what?
It's the same reason the Mona Lisa is worth a billion dollars or whatever but you can get the copy for $5.
Just because you would rather spend your money elsewhere doesn't make it junk.
-
Handbuilt means what? Is that better?
Not necessarily, but but it adds to cost and shows a level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that people are willing to pay a premium for. So in this case, yes.
I'll throw it back at you though:
A Honda Civic isn't handbuilt, makes 100hp/liter and will probably last 10x longer than the M3's or the AMG, does that mean it's superior?
-
did they copy the 60's vette style with a little shelby gt look?
It's a throwback to the 1955 mercedes benz 300 slr
google it
"ooh, we're exclusive, you can't buy this one unles you already own another one" copycat pre-req as the ferrari enzo....bullshitSo what? They'd be bought regardless so you might as well make the faithful customers happy.
Fine with me, only die-hard MB faithful would fork out that much $$$ for this turd.Mercedes finally made a car that can hit 0-60 as quick as the now ancient Mclaren F1 (Powered by an NA BMW motor kekeke), except this one has no roof and needs FI to make the same power. Still a FAIL imho, the <100k Atom is better in every way.
I don't like MB, sorry for the
The F1 and Ariel Atom are racecars in every aspect, this is really more of a showpiece/GT than anything else. And for the record the Atom out performs almost every production car to date (with exception to top speed)
With regards this engine vs. the M3 V8. Do you get that to get the 100HP/liter in the M3 they had to sacrifice massive amounts of torque. 420 hp / 295 lb-ft vs 600 hp / 605 lb-ft. AMG engines are handbuilt, I can't say the same for BMW's. Even the McLaren F1 needed 6+ liters of V12 to produce ~600hp but only had ~480lb-ft torque.
So it depends on what kind of power you're looking for. For track use the high strung, high reving M3 is perfect. For brutal, reliable power for long comfortable trips, a supercharger is where it's at.
O yea. 14mpg city and 20mpg highway isn't exactly stellar for the M3.

but they also charge you a $4 environmental charge per tire in the store. i thought that charge was only if you had them change your tire and that was for disposal of your old tire. the last time parks bought tires he got charged $8 extra.
He got ripped off then, because the Ohio environmental tire tax is only a $1 charge per tire.

Ask Keith (Big Cheif) how easy it was to sell his Triumph...
-
Quoted for truth... I asked them about that when pricing out a rear tire and they said they don't match the online store prices..
They charge $9 per tire mailed. So buying a tire online will actually cost you a few bucks more than the store.

good post. 2 stage compressors are best for lots of volume ie sandblasting for impact wreches and even running an air nailer that small one should be fine
What's that? Is there a minimum size for 2 stage compressors?
