When I took off my clutch cover very little oil leaked out, so no the clutch doesn't normally sit in oil at rest. Not sure if that's your problem, but it wouldn't hurt to try

word. I dunno if it would cause this kind of problem but torquing down the sprocket in gear wasn't the best idea

This would have nothing to do with clutch engagement only gear selection.

There should be a little dot on the rod that aligns with the gap in the clamp. Again, double check everything, and make sure the cable is installed correctly back in the sprocket cover.

Honestly for what it's worth the helmet is really nice. The fit and finish are really good and from what I've read it's actually marginally lighter than my RF-1000. It doesn't have all the features of my RF-1000 but hey, Bruce Lee is good for at least 10 wheel hp. My favorite thing about it, other than Bruce Lee of course, is that it has a five year warranty against any crashes. A police report needs to be supplied, which might be the lynch pin, and the lid sent back with a brief description of how it held up in the accident, and they send you a new one. Pretty cool I think.
