I've been looking for a square body for a while, but most are beat or people are wanting way too much for them. I ran across an 87 regular cab long bed that appears to be in really good shape, really low miles, and with a fair price, but it has a V6 with a 3 on the tree manual. I've driven plenty of manual vehicles, but not one like this. What are you thoughts on driving one? I wouldn't drive it every single day. I'd use it more for hauling (supplies from the hardware store), maybe light towing, etc. I'd also like to point out that while I'd rather have a V8 motor, with this one having such low miles, I'd probably drive it as-is for a while until I could get a motor to swap. If at some point I were to do that, how difficult would it be to change the setup to either an automatic, or manual floor shifter? Or would that be an over-daunting and too costly of a project?

Where'd you end up getting it from? Is someone going to install it for you, or are you going to do it?

Good to know. I'm not sure how involved I'll get into doing work like that. In the short term, I'll mostly be doing oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, basic maintenance, etc. I don't know if the posts will be too much in the way with doing brake/suspension type work. My issue right now is that I don't know exactly where I'll put the lift and I don't want to pay extra to have the entire floor poured with 6" of concrete. I'm already over budget on this garage as it is. With the 4 post, it doesn't HAVE to be secured to the floor, so I could move it if I don't like where it's at or if I want to change things around. Too many options and not enough money.

From what I've read, the 4 post lifts provide less clearance underneath to be able to do much work. What is your thought and experience with this compared to a 2 post lift? You said you want the 4 post to work on the race car. If so, how much work will you actually be able to do?

I would bet the starting point on these is around $15K.

What made you decide to go with a 4 post vs 2 post? I'm asking because I'm having a garage built next month and plan on getting a lift fairly soon after. I've been trying to decide which would be the better option.

Yeah, I wondered about the edges. I don't know if there's something I can do to help that or not. I'm not going with anything super fancy. No windows. Just the raised panel style.

I think he told me the bubble wrap is like a R3. I'm planning on adding R13 or so and then putting something over that, like drywall or plywood. So, it'll be at least an R16 or more. Once I get the gas heater in, I am planning on keeping the temp around 45 when I'm not in it, and then crank it up when I am in there. I will be in there during the evenings almost daily to workout, so I'll want it to warm up quick.

I'm having a detached garage built and had to pick some options. We discussed garage door and I'm going with an insulated 18x10, but then he asked me what R value I want. I am having the entire building bubble wrapped and I will finish insulation on the inside at a later time myself. I will also be putting in a gas heater. Doing all of that, will it really make a big difference with a higher R value of the overhead garage door? The options are R9 and R17. I tried googling a bit, but all I'm really finding is results for uninsulated vs insulated. I was hoping someone here has some real world experience and can help me make a decision on this. The R17 is just over $700 more than the R9. If I don't really NEED the R17, I wouldn't mind saving that money.

I did remove the tank from the house. I replaced the tank, pressure switch, and pressure guage in 2014, which is all still attached together. I'll get the specs for you and let you know.

Sorry guys, I wasn't really online much at all after posting this. I didn't see this until now. I haven't been back to the house since sunday night, but I'm sure it's leveled now. I wasn't able to get the overhead garage door, unfortunately. David got the single vanity. We kept the white double-vanity for when we are ready to remodel the master bath at our new place. Since no one came for the cabinets, I decided to keep them for my detached garage that I'm having built.

My old house is being demo'd by developers on Monday. I did a lot of work to this house. Tons of nice finishes and lots of usable parts. I would prefer this stuff go to someone who can use it rather than going to a landfill. Everything needs gone by Sunday. Come look, make me an offer on what you want. I will not be online to answer any questions. As of right now, everything in the list is still here and available. Also, if there's anyone that could help me remove and transport an insulated 18x8 garage door and springs to my new house, I'll give you anything you want in the house that I'm not keeping. If you didn't do it already, you should put a pan under the water heater and connect a hose to that running to your sump pit, or a drain in the floor. It will be more difficult to do after the fact, but it can be done. Those rooms look good too.

Bloom-Carroll is doing the split/flex thing. Group A Monday, Wednesday. Group B Tuesday, Thursday. Each group every other Friday. They are also allowing full-time online if parents don't want their kids to go at all. The childcare thing will be the bitch of it all for most families. I wish my wife was working, but since she's not, this won't be an issue for us.

I'd like to get these from you. Do you still come down to the Groveport area much for work?

I was close, but it is a tad smaller. It's 53" tall, 2' wide, and 29" deep. Let me know if you're interested in it at all.

I'll get the exact measurements tonight, but I'd say it's approximately 5' tall, 2.5' wide, 3' deep. That should give you a rough idea as to if it would even fit the area you want to put it. If you're wanting one that's only 3' tall, this one definitely won't fit.

I have a stand up freezer that I converted a while back. I've been considering selling it because I don't really use it anymore. Kegs have gotten too expensive. And out where I live now, no one ever comes over to partake. It's just a waste of space for me, honestly. I'd let it go for $150. Let me know if you would be interested in more details on it.

I've been wanting to pick up a square body for a while now, but this just makes me want to get one even more.

I have a trailer, so I just go pick it up from a place right around the corner from me. I got a steal this year. They still have quite a bit left over from last year. It's normally $40 per bobcat scoop. I got it for $20 per scoop and I'm able to fit 2 scoops in my trailer. I'm over near Carroll, so I know that doesn't help you much, but if you have a trailer, picking it up is the cheapest way to go.

I'm in IT at a food packaging facility. We are essential, but have sent as many non-essential people home as possible to WFH. I was told I could WFH as long as there wasn't a hardware need. Got up this morning to WFH and guess what, immediate hardware needs in the plant; mainly because people are stupid and can't figure things out themselves. It's times like these that you find out how much your company really cares for you. I've explained that my wife has an autoimmune deficiency. If she gets this, she's done for. I am told I still have to go in to work. If I didn't have to carry insurance for us, I would have quit.
