  2. An owl visits my house quite frequently and sits on top of the barn that is in my sig, which is behind my house. I've never seen him during the day, just hear him at night. When I hear him, I look out my kitchen window and can see his silhouette. From that distance (about 50 yards or so) he looks like a pretty big dude. A couple weeks ago, the g/f and I were heading to bed and we heard him. She was like "WTF was that?". I laughed and said "That's my owl. He's cool."

  4. Good. I'm glad to see someone get caught and damn near turned inside out. I'm so fucking tired of people thinking they can do whatever they want to other people's property, because if they do get caught, they might get a slap on the wrist. The shit has to stop. Fucking makes me sick.
  5. I got the email too. I went last winter. Had an absolute blast.... from what I can remember.
  6. Here's a little info to help you sell these because I absolutely LOVE mine! These things make EXCELLENT kegerators!! My at-the-time-father-in-law gave me his a few years ago because "it didn't work". I bought a temperature controller unit for $30, hooked it up and it worked. I bought the keg conversion kit from Columbus Distributing and installed it. I can adjust the temp of the freezer from 20* to 50*. I keep mine set at 29* because beer freezes at 28*.
  7. I really like this one mainly because of the wet/dry feature. Just wish it was 10hp like the Hoover dry vac models though. How is the suction on yours?
  8. I'm making my list for Santa. I want a good auto cleaner/vacuum with a variety of attachments and extensions. I'd like to know what you guys have and/or recommend.

    Tie-rod help

    Got the bellows from RockAuto for half the price the local stores wanted. After removing all parts, I found out both inner tie rods were bad. Both outer tie rods were bad. Both front springs were broken. I don't know if the struts were bad or not, but it was worth it to replace them while I had the shit apart. The inner tie rods were not hard to remove at all. I was able to remove them with a pair of channel lock pliers. All said and done, $292.32 in parts and dropped the car off for an $80 alignment (the front tires were squealing all the way there :lolguy:) this evening, for a grand total of about $372.32. The shop wanted around $800 to do it. Saved myself approximately $430.:fuckyeah: Thanks to everyone in this thread who made suggestions on how to remove parts, offered up tools if I would have needed them, and recommended places to buy stuff.
  11. I prefer to wrench on my vehicles myself, as long as I have the tools. If I need a cheap tool, I'll just go buy it. But if something needs done that requires an expensive tool, I'll just take it to have it done. However, there have been times where I am just sooooo busy with other things, I don't have time to mess with a simple oil change. Earlier this year, was one of those instances, and later discovered why I won't do it again. I took my truck to Valvoline right around the corner from my house. They were having a sale and it ended up costing the same amount it would have, had I bought my own supplies and did it myself. Figured it would be a win-win. Fast forward to just a couple weeks ago. I change the oil in my truck so that it's ready for winter. I pull the old Valvoline-installed oil filter off and it was HALF OF THE SIZE of the CORRECT filter!!!!!! I wanted to take the filter over there and throw it at them, but didn't feel like wasting my time.
  12. There is a press conference scheduled for 1pm tomorrow. I would imagine it will be announced then.

    Tie-rod help

    Finally got all of the parts and started working on this today. I only had time to work on the passenger side today. I removed the outer tie rod with the trusty BFH. I was able to get the inner tie rod off with a crescent wrench. Removed strut and spring. Found the spring was broken where it seats on the bottom of the strut. The inner tie rod was definitely bad. The strut wouldn't rebound when I pressed the rod all the way in. So, it's definitely a good thing I'm doing all this now. However, I have a bit of a problem. The old inner tie rod dust boots were in pretty bad shape and came apart very easily. I need new ones and am having problems finding them. Can someone here help me find some? Please?? I'm going to need 2 of them because I would bet the other one will fall apart as well when I remove it. O'Reillys can get them for $17.99 each plus shipping. Ouch!!!
  15. Most likely won't be announced during the halftime of the OSU/Duke game. Read on: http://theozone.net/football/2011/Michigan/rumormill.html
  16. I purchased a 20 gallon Campbell Hausfeld a few years ago at Andersons. I hate it. It's loud a fuck and the pressure gauge leaks. I've replaced the gauge once and it leaks also.
  17. :lolguy::lolguy::lolguy: You win. /thread.
  18. It'll be announced the week after the OSU/Michigan game.
  19. They are trying to simulate a street race by starting from the wrong end of the track. :dumb: When on the street do people stand outside of a car and hold it in place to do burnouts? :dumb: How much room do they have at the "end" of the track to stop? :dumb: In summary: This type of racing = :dumb::dumb::dumb:
  20. Any idea how long the QA-1's were used for? How many miles? etc...
  21. That is impressive. Tie-rod help

    I was quoted around $800 to do the job: Front inner and outer tie rods and both front shocks & springs, not counting the cost of the alignment, which I'll have NTB do. I got all the parts for $268.56 including tax and shipping, and will be doing the work in my garage after all the parts show up.
