  1. I pulled the motor, did a turbo swap outside in my buddies backyard with basic tools. Could have done the timing belt too, would have been super easy but it was already done. Working on this car is cake. ~$8K will be your total to get it done at a shop, including clutch, flywheel, all hardware, labor, and replacing wheel bearings, TONS of random coolant and power steering hoses, 2 axles, A/C dryer and A/C refill...i'm sure there was more. I have a receipt to prove it. K04 turbos with all required hardware = $3k Vast Performance Tune and Fueling kit = $2K Total = $5000.
  2. All you would need is a fuel pump, injectors and take it to Vast to tune it for you. I'm running 60# injectors, you would probably need a little bigger for GT28s. They way Vast does theirs is they give you 2 files(up to 3 i think), one for e85 and one for pump, and then If you want a 3rd for valet, or race gas. You switch between the files using your cruise control stalk. Talk to Prince or Mike at Vast, they have built a few e85 GT cars and will be able to tell you exactly what you need. They know their shit, and are very helpful. You would basically need: Turbos Inlets Vast fueling kit (injectors, fuel pump, n75 valve, rs4 airbox and MAF housing) and tune Rods Fueling kit might be a little differant for GT's. Oh btw, if you buy a pre 2001.5 car, you would want to upgrade your MAFS from the Bosch to the hitachi(found on the later models). Vast has a kit, and you need to reprogram the gauge cluster. Easy stuff. VAG-COM is your friend. http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/index.html
  3. I didnt see any mention of a turbo on that 2 liter, no turbo no care. Looks pretty cool though.
  4. Thanks and no problem. I'm just running RS4 K04's, I put down 452hp,475tq on e85. Maybe sometime down the road I will get rods and get my K04's converted to RS6 K04's or even do GT's, but I'm content with how it is now. Dont get it tuned anywhere else but at http://www.vastperformance.com/
  5. Hi, would also like to see the stealth. Former 3S owner myself, 93 vr4 with 13t's. With that built motor you need some DR-750R's!
  6. A flash = +80hp, +90ft/lbs or ~$5K for OEM RS4 turbos and custom tune = 600chp or ~$6K for GT28s + Rods and custom tune = 700+chp Thats pretty good $/hp if you ask me, especially in a daily driveable 4 door grocery getter. Maintenance is not that bad, but definitely not worry free. I have been DD'ing mine for 3 years, only maintenance I've done is change the oil and spark plugs. Things I've replaced not counting mods: control arms, tensioner pulley, wheel bearings, after-run coolant pump, clutch pedal switch and CV boots. The car has 134k miles one it. If you buy one thats not beat to shit and taken care of you will be fine. Some people say that its been a PITA (yet they still have them), while others have had nothing but good luck with them. I bought this car because I wanted a AWD DD that was nice and not slow. I didnt expect much out of the car, now I love the thing.
  7. Its both. :bangbang: I dont think S4's are very good at autocrossing, too nose heavy. I'm not sure though.
  8. Hows that Cavalier interior working out for ya?
  9. I think I'm helping my mother in law move that day, so I'll have a futon in the trunk. Should make for more of a challenge Just kidding, no more dragstrip days for me, I need a better clutch for that. But when I do...
  10. Stock motor is good for about 500whp before you need rods. You probably want the lightest model and dont care about traction control so you probably want a 2000 (early 2000 with aluminum uprights and no sunroof would be the lightest). There are tons of changes, use the links provided above, you have some reading to do. The blue one has the sport interior with the alcantara interior and aluminum trim which is nice. It has a salvage title so i dunno...The white one has higher miles but doest give a whole lot of detail, but I'm assuming its not a salvage vehicle. Ugh...if I bought one of those, and did a stage 3 conversion I would end with how much I paid for my car 3 years ago.
  11. Dont make me show your vette what a junk audi can do
  12. It wont have vehicles in multiplayer. But you will be able to call in and be the gunner in an AC-130 once you get an 11 kill streak.

  14. If i remember right, a nokia 2110 would be about the best phone you could buy then and it was giant
  15. Well back then it was analog, no data, battery life wasnt as good. What phone are you talking about? 1993 had some terrible cellphones.
  16. Dammit I came in here too late. Android > * But between WinMo and Iphone I think you made the better choice.
  17. audizine xda-developers androidforums (occasionally) gsxr.com (rarely) ohioriders (rarely) goatfuckers.org aswell
  18. Thats what mine looks like, except i use chrome on a real computer.
  19. Nice. Well get good at it so you can tune my 911TT in the future.... http://i.ytimg.com/vi/X36ACwwyscY/0.jpg ...in the year 3000, when I will be able to afford one.
  20. Hmm... i was confused when penske bought saturn. Since saturn turned into rebadged opels, penske basically just bought the saturn name. I dont think that they would be able to sell opels as saturns without buying opel. So they would have had to come up with brand new cars, from the ground up and thats almost impossible to do unless you are building supercars or cheap pieces of junk. I dunno maybe im wrong.
  21. I just saw this posted on another forum, and thought I'd share. I remember there was some discussion on here related to this before, and there is currently no one (at least that I know of) that does ME tuning in Ohio. This is would be for dealers, not available to the public. http://i663.photobucket.com/albums/uu360/RAImotorsport/data-logger.jpg
