  1. *Enter German car nutswinger #1* Nothing beats a German car in my opinion. Engineered, designed and built a lot better than any other nation's car. Since parts are more complex and someone actually took time to engineer the parts, they are typically going to cost you a bit more than a piece of bubblegum and twine that others may call a suspension. For that same reason you are going to have to maintain it a little better than using cheap oil and only changing it every 3 years or so. Just like anything, if you maintain it right, it will last you forever. (Besides older hondas because they will rust away and theres nothing you can do about that). You have to realize that a 3-series, A4, C-class is Europe's Taurus, Accord etc, but when put next to any of those, they look like luxury sport cars when in reality they are just at the bottom. So I think that speaks novels right there. Now I do think that typically BMW's are overpriced in the used car market, because they are a status car. I think you will love a BMW if you find one that has been properly taken care of, and if you continue to properly take care of it. I've worked on American cars, lots of japanese cars and of course German cars. Out of all of them, the German cars are A LOT easier to work on because everything is put together in a logical manner. Nothing was an afterthought as it sometimes seems with other brands. Personally I would take an A4 over a 3-series because of a)AWD FTW b) Because Audi's dont have that status that BMW has, you can get them for cheaper, and maintenance and parts are cheaper too from what I've noticed. Reason not to get an A4: K03 turbos like to blow. Just my opinion, hope it helps you somewhat.
  2. I got screwed twice by Chance. First my accountant is a tard and messed something up so I owed a bunch of money, and then the guvment was all like, "your buildings arent up to spec, pay a fine" asshole game
  3. You would have to change your name to FuriousCadillac.
  4. I'd go check it out. My biggest concern would be to make sure the trans is still in good shape. Maintenance records! Maintenance records! Maintenance records! Maintenance records!

Yeah I signed up, but there wasn't a lot going on there. I posted in your thread.
  10. http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=311969&highlight=maintenance Early B6 Build Date: It is known that some early build date S4's (8/03) had some engine problems. Those problems should have occurred by now or have been fixed/replaced. Although it is a relatively big concern when purchasing a car, be aware that not all of the early builds had problems. The ones that did should of/have been fixed by now. If you are that concerned with an early build S4 either looker for a newer one or purchase and extended warranty. Coil Pack Failure: One of the most common issues with the B6/B7 S4 is a coil pack failure. This problem can be identified by a CEL/Flashing CEL accompanied by mis-fires and a hard idle. Coil packs cost around $30 each new. If your coil packs fail under warranty they will be replaced by the dealer. Common Engine Codes for a Coil Pack Failure: 16684 - Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected 16686 - Cylinder 2: Misfire Detected Starter Issues: There are several cases where the started has gone on the S4. You can most likely detect a bad started while turning the key to start the car, NOTHING will happen. Is you do not have a warranty, this can be a rather expensive repair. Cost: Basic maintenance on the B6/B7 S4 is not one of the cheapest vehicles to own. Please be aware of this while considering your purchase. Below is an example of what to expect if you are going to perform maintenance by yourself. Oil Changes: 9.5 Quarts Ow40/5w40 + Oil Filter - Expect to pay anywhere from $80-$120 depending on your choice of Motor Oil and the Oil Filter Spark Plugs: 8 Plugs - Expect to pay around $50+ depending on the spark plugs you choose. Plugs for this car range around $6-$7 per plug. Air Filter: 1 OEM or Aftermarket Filter - Expect to pay around $20-$25 on an OEM filter Valve Cover Gaskets: Both Gaskets + Half Moon Seals + Coil Pack Seals - Expect to pay anywhere from $60+ for a complete set. Price varies by dealer and retailer
  11. I see how it can be beneficial to some to lease rather than to buy. Just not for me, or at least not right now. I have never, and don't plan on ever buying a brand new car, like you said its always best to buy used.
  12. I have to agree with you. I dont see the benefit of leasing. Paying basically the same amount monthly as if you bought it, but when the lease is up all that money just disappears, along with the car. Plus you are limited to a certain amount of miles, and no modifications. But 335 would be a nice car to have. This is what a lease on a 2010 S4 will cost you: '10 S4 6MT $52k car 42 mo lease 10k mi/yr $4200 out of pocket $699/mo + tax
  13. Pretty cool I guess...Now I just wait for the money to come rolling in. Some asshole already bought Powell Rd, and some fucker named Ramsey has a street right next to mine in Wedgewood.

Well I guess it will have 313hp and wait for it.... 3,319 lb-ft of torque "a high-performance sports car with a purely electric drive system. Four motors - two each at the front and rear axles – drive the wheels , making the concept car a true quattro. Producing 230 kW (313 hp) and 4,500 Nm (3,319.03 lb-ft) of torque, the two-seater accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0 - 62.14 mph) in 4.8 seconds, and from 60 to 120 km/h (37.28 - 74.56 mph) in 4.1 seconds. The lithium-ion battery provides a truly usable energy content of 42.4 kilowatt hours to enable a range of approximately 248 kilometers, or 154 miles."
  15. Sweet, someone got a picture of me. Thanks
