  1. I actually take my "fair enough" reply back because it was still proving my point that just because you have a ccw doesnt mean that you arent human and that anyone can still make mistakes, concealed weapon carrier or not. But I digress. I'm not as strongly apposed to it as I originally was. The fact that there is already a law prohibiting being intoxicated and carrying is good enough for me, not perfect, but acceptable. There will be instances proving that ccw in a bar is great, but there will be instances proving it a bad idea. Where my biggest problem was someone carrying while intoxicated, seems to be already covered.

  3. What? No, Rymer is a friend of mine, and he doesnt drink at all.
  4. In a bar? Youve NEVER had alcohol ever,
  5. That was noticed in the first response, lol
  6. All are very good points, that I have always agreed with why ccw is good. But its like you guys are just throwing out the fact that alcohol is involved. I just cant get over that I dont want ANYONE whose been drinking to have a gun on him.
  7. No, my argument there was that cc holders aren't perfect little angels who can do no harm.
  8. Not at all. I'm saying people are people. Someone is not a criminal until he commits a crime. So someone could be a law biding citizen, who has been carrying for 50 years. It just takes that one stupid mistake, which alcohol certainly doesn't help prevent, to turn that person into a criminal. Background checks and psych tests cant predict the future. Its illegal to carry while intoxicated, why give people the opportunity to do so? If we can trust everyone who carries, who decides to go into a bar, to not drink at all, resist the friend that goes "dude just do one", then there shouldnt be any problems. I just dont see that happening. I wonder how many cc people here, have gone to a bar, drank, and then drove home that night when they probably shouldnt have.
  9. You don't know that they weren't.
  10. Reply to post #85 of mine.
  11. And I also said, BW3 is a restaurant, and not a full on bar. Does it really matter if its legal in that state or not? In none of the articles did I see anything saying that those people were not CCW holders. If those are all states where you are not allowed to carry at all in the entire state, then I will see if I can find other examples. But it proves that guns and alcohol doesnt mix.
  12. Now how many times has that happened in a bar, where a person has been drinking compared to how many times it was the cause of an incident?
  13. Sorry I must have missed it, and I'm assuming this is the question you're talking about. Fucking Texas of all places do not allow them in bars, which says quite a bit. http://cbs2chicago.com/local/bar.fight.shooting.2.698588.html http://www.woio.com/global/story.asp?s=10607452 http://www.orangeleader.com/local/local_story_150171957.html http://www.wdsu.com/news/18222989/detail.html http://www.elpasotimes.com/ci_12663215?source=most_viewed There are hundreds of examples.
  14. I dont know who Sarah Brady is But I'm assuming shes an anti-gun person. Which I am not. The funny thing too is that I don't disagree with what you're saying, because your proving why someone should be allowed to carry. The problems comes in when you are trying to convince me that I'm wrong about not wanting guns in an environment where people are drinking, to which you have not proven shit. Its been nothing but personal insults, for which you can go eat a dick, and pro 2nd amendment.
  15. pssshhhtt...johannesburg is in south africa.
  16. lol, maybe I should have said yahoo. http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/3632/65106533.jpg
  17. I've also already said that people who go to bars and dont drink are the exception and not the rule. I also said that if you went to the bar, just sat there and didnt drink at all that I would have no problem with it, but how do you control, regulate or measure that? Do they let under age kids go into bars? But what if they say "oh its ok, im not going to drink"? Will they let them in then? No they wont. Same concept. "A responsible person with CCW would not draw unless it was absolutely necessary" Correct, but now hes been drinking and isnt thinking with a clear mind.
  18. Good numbers. Thats similar to what my 3000gt put down. 330hp, 340tq.
  19. Ugh, that drinking and having a firearm on you is a great fucking idea.
  20. Ranger. You just dont get what I'm saying at all. You act as if I'm completely against people being able to carry, that's not the case at all. But a lot of people, and it appears to me that you fall in that category, simply want to carry a gun for the fact of carrying a gun, and to show of fucking baddass you are. You're aggressive way of trying to prove your point, only makes me feel even stronger about how I feel. You are coming off as the person at the bar that wants to prove he is so damn right, and automatically becomes aggressive, and you haven't even been drinking, AND you also have a gun on your hip. The bottom line is, when people go to BARS, and im not talking about restaurant that serves booze, I'm talking about an establishment that's sole purpose is to serve alcohol, people go there to drink. You cant possible sit here and tell me that after even just a few drinks, you don't have to be shitfaced wasted, that your judgment is impaired. Therefor, I don't want anyone like that even being close to a weapon. You're Hupps example is pro 2nd amendment, which I agree with, but doesnt prove anything here really. Also, if it really matters to you that much, a simple Google search for highest crime rate in the world would have given you Johannesburg.
  21. "But a monkey can also kill people, if it had a gun"
  22. I dont understand why its such a big deal to have your firearm with you when eating your burrito and chicken wings. Cause we all know how crazy dangerous those places are.
