Is there actually any proof that this is a new Google policy? I know that Google recently switched from Google Checkout to Google Wallet and we had to make a few changes in order for things to show up correctly. These things don't just magically show up, the seller needs to send Google a file with their products.

I was honestly surprised how well people did on Polaris. Yes there was a handful of numb nuts that would either just sit there pissing themselves, unsure when to go, or douchebags that just start going when it's not their turn. Worst was some fag on a VFR in the turn lane next to me that decided he was going to go straight, almost ran his ass over.

This is not old news. This is a big improvement over the old way, which was basically just caching your route. Now you actually select a whole area of a map and download it.

Google Now is pretty nuts...maybe even a little scary, but very cool. This morning it came up with a commute time and traffic report to "Work", which was exactly the right address without me ever telling it where I worked. I just had to confirm that it was indeed where I worked. On Fridays a few of us from work typically get lunch from this one place nearby, it just sent me traffic and ETA to that place. IT KNOWS

Here is how I see it. These routine maintenance procedures is no different that maintaining your car. Why do you change your oil? Why not just wait until the motor blows the fuck up? Because a motor is more expensive, that's why. So all these people without insurance "blowing their motors", just drives prices up for people like you and I who have insurance. I pay for my insurance not because I have money to waste, I pay for insurance because a)I benefit from it if something goes wrong, b)I don't want to be a worthless sponge on society. Long term this is a good thing as long as it's being implemented correctly...at least that's how I see it.

Be careful before you offer to root motorola devices. They have locked bootloaders and it's a royal pain. I rooted and installed ICS on a Bionic and I thought I bricked the damn thing at first before finally getting it squared away. Safestrap is essential...but still not as smooth/easy as what most are used to. Take the Razr, and trade it in on a Nexus. Probably the best advice I've ever given. Dude at work got the Razr, wasn't happy with it and got the Nexus. He loves it and he's not a techy/phone guy at all.
