03 pathfinder towing capacity is 5,000#. Tacoma is 6500# Hp and Tq are about the same. The weak link between the two being the Nissan transmission.

This!!! Except get the gen II. FI, more HP, lighter and better suspension. You'll want to upgrade the seat and maybe bars, but great all rounder.My biggest complaint is that the rear grab handles won't allow cheap saddlebags to be used on it, but I just use a rear seat bag.

So you're telling me that there is a road around coshocton that is 45 miles of perfect sweepers without a tarsnake nor a driveway in sight for the entire ride that includes elevation changes of 4000' and finishes at an awesome BBQ joint? I think our plan is to get out of town before rush hour starts and possibly early enough to avoid Cincinnatis rush hour. Will have at least an hour stop for food and beer at Alcoa and probably time to stop and eat. That will put us down there with plenty of time to get unpacked and take a nice local ride.

AND all your gear. Pack which are going to need for the weekend in a backpack. If it breaks down yank the bikes off and ride the rest of the way. I've been told the Chevy has a belt running the OD. I've been told to never run it with overdrive on while towing because it will destroy the belt quickly.

Nope. You'll get about 11 overall if you have the tow package and 3.73 gears. DO NOT pull a trailer with the OD on unless you want to snap the rubber band.

I like the topsail area. Not as touristy and cheaper than outer banks without the trashy-ness of myrtle beach.
