I have an EXO-400 and the big issue with mine is that the shield doesnt seal which lets lots of air get pulled through the bottom. The loop has nothing to do with it, at least in my case.

Wish I could. its up on jackstands right now & removing the swingarm is a pretty big job that I'm trying to avoid. Thanks for the offer though.

the tube on the right side is pretty thin and the pumpkin is aluminum. Neither sounds like a good option in this situation.
