The ride on 460 past all of the Kentucky Horse Farms was uneventful and it got to be pretty damned hot outside, so I didn't take any more pictures. Hoepfully, some of the others will post up more pictures so you can see what you missed on this ride.

We split up here as John and Doug wanted to get back home to do some stuff that had to be done. Landon, Dustin and I headed further up Route 77 to Route 460 towards Lexington...

On the other side fo the tunnel is what lookslike a prehistoric jungle. Huge ferns, rock outcroppings and the occassional sportbike...

Kinda spooky in here...

We stopped on Route 77 at the Nada Tunnel ( see:http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/boone/districts/cumberland/nada_tunnel.shtml for detailed info). Narrow assed tunnel through the hill in the middle of nowhere. Cool temps in the tunnel and just outside of it though, so it was worth the trip...

Got back to the hotel around 9:30 Saturday night and headed out to Applebee's for dinner, (not a lot of choices in Morristown, TN). Loads of smoking babes there, but I neglected to bring my camera along. Sorry about that. The next day we headed home, on a great route via the backroads of Kentucky. This was our route; Southern Route - Northern Route -

After the Gap, we hit the Foothills Parkway in search of some cooler temps. I think it put Doug in the mood....

Found a hot babe more to Dustin's liking at The Overlook. Nothing says 'sexy" like a big ol' beer belly in a wife beater...

Doug was less than impressed and continued shopping for tee shirts.... Landon didn't give a shit either...

Now where was I? Fianlly made it to Deal's Gap only to notice two NC State Poopers with their BMW's parked out front. They were just there to hang out, not really messing with anyone...

Yup, here's our approximate route - about 370 miles total...

The skies were starting to clear up, so we decided to ride over to Deal's gap area - not that far way as the crow flies, but took us a couple of hours to get there. Some decent roads on the way... And even passed a Honda plant to the delight of Landon and John...

After a slow paced, rel;axing ride on the interstate to get to Tennessee Friday, we crashed in the hoyel to get ready for Saturday's ride. Our rpoute that we had hoped to do looked to be rained out, so we took an alternative route. First stop, fog covered waters of Norris reservoir...
