Just get DOT 3 or 4, 5 or whatever is specified for your bike and buy a reputable brand. I can't think of a way to find out what brand is already in there without knowing who put it in.

I'll be in Tennessee this weekend, so going again in another week is outta the question for me.
If you'd like to ride down again later in the summer / fall - let me know and I'll go with you.
I've been going there for over 20 years and go 7-8 times per summer, so I know a lot of the area fairly well. The Gap itself kinda blows because of all the HD traffic and cops. Used to be great before they showed up.
Try to ride Route 28 in NC, south of Route 19 and into Franklin, NC - good rooad and no traffic or cops.
Have fun!

Sweet dude. If you don't want to go that far, you're more than welcome to park the trailer at our place in Pickerington.
I'll probably have to drop the wife off in Z'ville for the day and then return there when done riding. But if not, I'll give you a yell.

If the forks aren't too bent, it'sa easy enough to put them in some vee blocks and use a press and a dial indicator to straighten them out a bit. But they can't be bent to the point of being kinked or having a wrinkle in the surafce - then it's new fork tube time.

I keep saying it; but I'm gonna try to make this one. Probably trailer over to Zanesville and drop the truck and trailer at the in-laws place and then ride down from there.

Neither- staying at a house in Lenoir City. But I'll be around the Gap for the weekend. Might see me passing through or something.

I'll be down there July 9th - 14th. Look for an old fat fart on a yellow Ducati SPort 1000.

Ditto! Did you take that one too EarAche?
No, my bud Brad Love took that one. I didn't have any more of Spies.

Wow those were really good pictures. Thank you!
Not a problem.
Here are the lap times from IMS. I have no idea if these are "good" lap times or not. At this point, they don't really mean much, but here they are anyway....

Spies was the only "racer" there. As a wildcard on the Rizzla Suzuki.
Another pic of him...

I'll post some more if I go back to the track tomorrow...

I got there around 10:00 AM and bikes were already on the track....

Perfect weather greeted us at the track today with sunny skies, low humidity andtemperatures in the low 80's - just perfect...

Pay attention to where you're going doof.
And wear some gear! Wouldn't be nearly as bad with just a decent leather jacket on, some good gloves and some leather pants with armour.

I use the second ones; CRG HIndsight mirrors with some cutom made bar ends. The Rizoma's from PJ's are just a bit too big and clunky looking for me - but to each his own.
They work well - better than most OEM sportbike mirrors.
