Well was gonna just buy a used rig, but said f it. Went and bought a John Deere D105 suits my lawn well. Had it delivered friday so i havent been able to use it yet due to snowing . JD has a price fix on these so there the same price where ever you go. But after playing the credit card bonus game, and free gas from giant eagle by getting home depot gift cards. I saved( or earned which ever way you want to look at it) 300$ JACKPOT!

Might take a look at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, PA (about 3.5 hours). Wife and I went a few years back, nice beaches, not crowded, several NW OH wineries along the way if you want to break up the trip. Also Cuyahoga Valley National Park south of Cleveland is nice and on the way.

This is my wifes top choice at the moment. Looks to be a nice relaxing place.

Paul, as a parent myself, I can tell you that it seems like a lot is going on at 2 years of age, but nothing much is being processed. Just go somewhere outdoorsy, and fun for you and the missus. The kid will have a great time as long as there's a pool/lake and some room to explore. :thumbup:

 

Even Hocking Hills would be a good spot. Just rent a cabin, take an off-roadsy stroller or the Baby Bjorn and strap the kid down. Go for some walks, get some great pics, eat some fun food, and be back in 3 days for ultra cheap. Along that route, check out Oglebay in WV. Great cabins, central play/pool area, playgrounds, lake to fish/paddleboat...just a great spot not 3 hours away.

Yea shes happy doing anything so long as shes with us.

Wanting to take the family for a quick getaway 3 for a 3 day weekend the first week in june. But since its so short of a time i dont want to drive more than 4 hours. Has to be kid friendly.

Was looking at places like lake erie but cant find any affordable options for lake front.

Thought niagra falls but that sounds lame and its 5.5 hours.

Any ideas?

A shit storm is brewing, so looking for recommendations on a second job. Evenings/weekends. 10-20 hours a week As far north as possible. Service industry is out - already served my time.

What are common issues with the vans? What's their life expectancy? At what mileage do they start showing problems?

Not a mechanic, but all the people i follow have 200k+ out of theres. No real issues that ive seen.
