  1. That sounds fun. I'll keep you posted.
  2. I went last march, it was 60s to 70s but wet a lot of the time. It was the first time I had the gixxer on the track. And..... the first time the gixxer was on the track it was on rains and in the rain.
  3. You can also buy a wireless bridge from your favorite home networking manufacturer but they are usually about as expensive.
  4. I love my sidi vertigo airs. They might be a little much if your just street riding but they are very comfortable and crash good too.
  5. I've got this jacket, Iron pony used to have tons of good teknics stuff on closeout http://www.rockheadbikes.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=TEKNICMNSNGRTXJCKTBLCK I also have some teknics cold weather pants but it's a different type, same idea though, gortex textile with knox armor. It's good stuff and I have yet to ride in weather where I was cold under the jacket. Otherwise, pinlock shield on my shoei rf-1000 and some sort of kneck warmer, thick socks, boots, gloves. I don't do any real riding under 30 degrees, rarely under 40. But I think the jacket could handle some serious cold I'd just need better gloves and that sort of stuff.
  6. I'm a big fan of the KISS method. Unless there is significant money to be saved and an easy way to secure the necessary resources to run the day I don't see the point in reinventing the wheel here. Having competent track coaches and staff is more important for everyone's safety than one might think.
  7. I think the safety rule would be that if you drive the quad you have to ride first so you know what you are putting the person in the back through. It looks horrifying. Who really like spinning rides anyway.
  8. go check out Midwest Photo Exchange on high street or at mpex.com
  9. That thing is scary, like dangerous scary, but sure is funny to look at. I'm afraid if you got that quad going fast enough to shift out of 1st gear someone might get killed. Even those crazy rednecks looked afraid to go over 2mph or so.
  10. vw151 (I know, I'm very creative) I've been playing some forza3 but haven't begun online play yet.
  11. I was inferring that STT give a general $10 discount to Ohioriders forum members not just for Barber. I just happen to be signing up for Barber either way in March because it's cold in OH in march and me and my buddies have sort of made a tradition out of it since one of the guys mom lives there not to save money vs Mid-OH. In the summer months I'll ride here in OH. I was really just putting it out there half joking but also half hoping maybe Brian or Monte would sign on and give us a discount code. Didn't mean to get people riled up. So in short, I could go to Barber in July but I'll probably stay local since it's warm up here. The southern tracks are just worth it to me to visit in the early spring or late fall because you can start riding sooner.
  12. Where is STT's counter offer? I'll wait to sign up for Barber till I hear a response. Thanks.
  13. http://jalopnik.com/5439784/geniuses-build-automatic-vomit-machine-from-old-axle http://www.koreus.com/video/spinaroo-quad-siege-tourniquet.html
  14. Interesting. Not sure if you are in Columbus, but I've always liked checking out the inventory at the local used pro camera store mpex.com I never saw the OP ask for a pro line or F2.8 lens. Is that what he is looking for?
  15. I use a propane heater when it's really cold. http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xr5/R-100672874/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053 I'd like to get something that is more directional though. This one kind of has to heat the whole garage and the garage is not insulated so it's not super efficient.
  16. beat me too it, all I could think of. I love that movie.
  17. I totally forgot they were running that. I saw the practice videos a few days ago.
  18. It was hard to watch. His voice is the voice of your grampa in a nursing home but his face looks like Casey Casome from the 90s or something. It's just odd to see, I think just cause of the plastic surgery and because everyone else his age has given up show biz. I can't hate on the guy though. If he can still do it good for him.
  19. probably need something like this for the audio too. http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-Audio-Cable-Splitter-1-Mini/dp/B00004Z5CP/ref=pd_bxgy_e_img_b yep, easy peasy. Glad to help, now everyone else quit trying to confuse the issue with more hardware than he needs. I was a little confused by the dude calling it the 9 pin thingy too since VGA is 15 pin on the cable but 15 holes on the computer. Not that I care a lot about jargon but I find it easiest to look this stuff up so we are all talking about the same thing. I am kind of a geek though. I'll take this post as an opportunity to whore more pictures of my 4 monitor and a projector set up that I'm still kinda proud of. Yes they are all connected to 1 computer and I can put different things on every screen.
  20. There isn't a vga port on the back. If there is you could use this http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Unlimited-AUD-2350-S-Video-Adapter/dp/B000V6W7ZY If you want to use USB you'll be looking for something more in depth. What model computer is it?
  21. That's no tall windshield. This is a tall windshield.
