  1. A friend got drawn this year and invited me to go. Anyone else hunted this before? It starts the first weekend in November. First group out. It should be better than the Ravenna hunt situation.

    Muzzle loaders

Do all the newer ones load the same these days? I'D rather not use percussion caps mounted the old style shown in the thread. I'd say $400 range with real wood can't stand plastic weapons.
  3. Thanks...it's still laying there..
  4. Yes from Artfibras in europe somewhere. Only one i could find i liked. I think there might be one other undertail available for it but i can't remember the name.
  5. i did not use the resistors that came with the integrated tail light. they are not needed and if you do install they get very hot. All they do is slow down the blink. I did not use the bracket that Artfibras supplied. the holes did not line up with the license plate or any other holes? Must be for a european plate? Over all i'm happy with it. All the nuts and bolts used were from the original shovel.
  6. the undertail has some tabs that insert into the cowling. It didn't line up perfectly but works.
  7. clip the wire connects off of the original tailight and wire them where they need to go on the two integrated wires then throw the cowling back on. The tray they give you sits as shown.
  8. these rectangle nut inserts from the shovel i used for the backside of the license plate bracket.
  9. also use the old license plate bracket as a guide and drill two holes for the plate mounting. yes those are Topsiders..
  10. drill two quick holes thru the fiberglass using the same size bit as the bolts that were taken from the same spot.
  11. this shows the little hole the undertail sits on. the wiring box thing and the relays slide over the metal tabs provided on the undertail.
  12. put the lock into the sucky hole provided by Artfibras. it is a stretch and i don't know why they put it there. it rubs on the bike frame a bit. i had to bend the bracket a tad.
  13. drill a small hole below the light socket to route the two remaining wires thru...i think they say leave out the light socket to route the wires thru but i'd rather put the other light socket back in to prevent it from getting flooded
  14. plug the plug from the integrated board into the light socket and put the socket back in slowly.
  15. remove the two light bulb sockets and place the led board into the housing..the rubber orings supplied go on top as seen in picture.replace the lens cover
  16. remove the little pad that is stuck to the taillight and stick it in the same spot on the integrated light.
  17. REmove the two screws that secure the shovel. remove the cable that connects to the lock.
  18. begin teardown...remove seat, side covers, grab bar, remove tail light wires, remove 599 cowling pull up exhaust side then slide to the rear, remove tail light assy-there are four screws
