  1. http://www.guardian.co.uk/books/2010/sep/21/stephen-king-sons-of-anarchy-cameo Stephen King rides in to Sons of Anarchy TV cameo Author takes role in US drama serial about outlaw motorcycle club Stephen King: 'I like to act'. Photograph: Tina Fineberg/AP Stephen King will guest star in an episode of the television drama Sons of Anarchy today after being lured by the offer of riding a Harley-Davidson. The bestselling author plays a character named Bachman – King wrote a number of his horror novels under the pen name Richard Bachman – who is described in the show's official announcement as "highly skilled in an unusual profession". The television series, about an outlaw motorcycle club in the fictional town of Charming, California, has just started its third season in the US (King appears in the third episode) and is currently showing its second series in the UK. King was asked to take part after writing a positive column about the show for Entertainment Weekly. "I like the show, it's one of those shows which seems to have gotten better as it goes along, it's found its groove," he said in a video interview for the channel FX. "[Creator] Kurt Sutter got in touch with me [and] said if you're ever out here we'd like to have you on the show. Ordinarily I would say no but he said he'd put me on a Harley, so here I am." King also "like to act", he explained on his website – "not that I'm much good at it" – and Sutter "assured me that he'd write me a suitably nasty part (in various films I've been stuck playing a series of mentally challenged country bumpkins)". "The bike was just short of awesome: a bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide. A little tricked-out for my taste, and if I'd dropped it I never would have been able to pick it up, but I would have been glad to take it home (sadly, no deal). All black clothes, bright red sled – can't do much better than that," said King, who has ridden bikes since he was 22 and currently owns a Heritage Softail from 1986. The author has also appeared in George A Romero's 1981 film Knightriders and in a number of adaptations of his own books, including Pet Sematary, The Stand and The Langoliers.
  2. I knew that was Stephen King. They used his alias author name for his character Tara's pregnant Opie's gonna ask Lila to marry him What the hell'd he think was gonna happen at the Asian party? Why not just tell her he wants her out of the biz? Nuthin' like screwin' up the whole deal for the club And I love how they just act like it ain't no big deal he messed it all up I'm guessin' Cammy's cuz used to be with Jax's dad before Gemma, or was a mistress or somethin'?? Some Season 1 storyline I missed Jax was gonna tap that chick at the end 'til they found Cammy... So much for him & Tara bein' soulmates
  3. ^ ^ This Boomers actually started retiring last year. That's why I'm getting ready to go into the nursing home biz
  4. Where's the Yut Ugh vid when you need it?? That should be permanently sticky'd
  5. I'm sure shes used to it. Naahh Shawn.... I think his wife's usually the one laughing in bed & he's the one wondering
  6. In a couple of weeks, when soccer, & 2 of my 3 classes this semester, are over.... I may very well hold you to that
  7. Does that say "free buckets of beer"??
  8. Moar fear! And the Gravedigger plucks another one from obscurity
  9. If you're thinkin' Mid Oct.... 2 of my classes are done, as well as soccer. Still have vBall & football though, depending on schedules. Can't be the 16th though

    Ouch

Don't know squat about machining, but have done years of heavy press work in past lives... I'm taking it there's no emergency/stop button you can hit? Glad they didn't have to cut the tip off
  15. Late to the party, but I'll vouch for Arthur bein' a good Joe
  16. "I got a LOTTA problems with you people!"
  17. That's what I was thinkin' of too.... But then the bike might go down also, if it's catchin' on those The other thing I was thinkin' was, they were pulled against each other.... Kind of like tension wires. Maybe it was so he couldn't move his head too much one way or the other, & possibly start wigglin' his way outta the hole
  18. Is that the picture they showed you to sell you that bike Art??
  19. Funny story... Picked my son & his buddy up from football practice the other night, & on our way home, a Harley comes by us & pipes really loud just as he's passing & our windows are down Immediately & without hesitation... All 3 of us, very loudly start doin' the "BRUMBRUMMBRUMMBRUM" Harley Fag thing from South Park
  20. Good call Further... Who thinks the Guatty Hotty is a little too handy with the rifle to be a true care giver.... Not to mention she's playin' porn queen w/ Tig in less than 24 hours, all the questions she was askin' Gemma, & the WWF smackdown that apparently goes on in the garage next week. This would show extreme foresight by some group... But what if she's a plant, in anticipation of Gemma goin' to her dad? Why was she lookin' Gemma up on the ATF site then? Unless she was checkin' what the bounty was up to now?? I'm reachin'... I know, but it/she just struck me as odd. I'm assumin' that was Lila/Ope's girl he was seein' on the DVD's, that distracted him? And I guess I need to consult my Torture Technique cliffnotes... But what was the deal with the tethers when they had that guy buried up to his head & were ridin' the bikes by him? Is he supposed to be afraid they're gonna run him over, or are those ropes, cables... Whatever they were... Supposed to do something to add to the torture?
