  1. I think he forgot to list the ride height. http://dayton.craigslist.org/cto/5030216545.html
  2. It has finally fired up and idled on jack stands...plan to work on it all night tomorrow to get it on the ground, work on the tune Friday and be ready for Saturday.
  3. RL Carriers shipped my hood from AZ for $160.
  4. What type of tires do you use? I'm only on my third set with 23K on the R1. I've used the Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's since I do a lot of highway riding.
  5. The plan is to have it done and working on the tune this coming weekend. We'll see how much progress I can get done this week.
  6. Thanks to Cordell for helping me get these pipes cut and fabricated up. Here is the Turbo to intercooler pipe welded up Here is the intercooler charge pipe that will connect via 90 degree silicone elbow to the upper charge pipe. I also finished the scavenging pump mount. Had to go get 1/4 tungsten as I couldn't get the thicker aluminum to puddle with the 1/16 tungsten I've been using.
  7. Here is the charge pipe with the IAT screw in bunge welded in as well as the BOV flange welded in.
  8. Been working on the car and making a lot of progress. First time I've tried welding aluminum and I like it. Radiator before: 90 degree bend I welded up and added the hose end to it as well and then grind it all down. Cut the radiator outlet to match and welded the entire thing to the radiator. I also added the steam vent bung to the radiator as well This shows it after I've put it back in the car and shows the clearance that I needed to gain since the outlet was up against the hot side piping.
  9. Just an update: Took the intake back off to clean up the wiring and replaced the intake gaskets. Installed the fuel injector adapters, new NGK plugs, new MSD plug wires, reinstalled the coils, installed the oil feed line, installed the fuel regulator, installed the fuel lines, re-routed and installed the 02 sensors. Also working on a mount in the old alternator location for the scavenging pump. I hope to finish the bottom of the bracket tomorrow and then focus on the cold side.
  10. What is this going in too?
  11. I think I've seen your Hsv conversation and I'm jealous.
  12. I was trying to hold out for the manual GXP but could justify another 10k for it.
  13. We haven't pulled the tune yet but we're thinking that it may have been messed with as it is pretty snappy.
  14. Yeah, the car is bone stock for now...
  15. As some of you may already know I bought a 08 G8 GT the day after Christmas for my soon to be wife. I finally got around to taking some pictures of it so I figured I'd post them up. It's got a few small issues that I need to work out...condensation in the drivers headlight and both the rear TPMS sensors seem to be going out.
  16. Here are a few more pictures. I hope to knock out a few more things this week and then I'm off next week so I'll be working on the car all day everyday for the week and hope to have it running by the end of next week.
  17. Cordell will be doing the tune but I'm sure we'll try and get it out to Brian's dyno to tweak it. Just ordered the last of all the cold side and all the other parts I think I need.
  18. Hope to have one car running and to bring the new car out.
  19. 176 MPH and the engine blow at the 176 mile marker...karma?
  20. What type of signs, wifey to be's aunt has a shop that does vinyl graphics.
  21. The plan is to have it complete by April 25th and I plan to bring it to the track day.
  22. I finished the adding the WG connection to the DP and also welded an O2 bung into the DP and another O2 bung close to the drivers manifold as there isn't one in the 6 liter manifold. I then pulled all of the hotside off and just finished wrapping all of the hotside.
