  4. whoa, thank goodness you are hear to tell the story! that's definitely a scary one. On the other hand, I'm sure the truck driver never intended you harm. I feel bad for those guys sometimes, they constantly get cut off and have to make adjustments for idiot drivers. On the other hand, I'm sure he's learned a lesson to look both ways twice from now on.... he's probably so grateful he didn't kill you!

  6. I've honestly never been on a wife beater and flippy floppies ride but I am -for sure- a squid at heart. The feeling of the sun on your skin, and the wind giving you shivers, and the sounds of cars with the amazing engine of your motorcycle drowning them out at every twist of the wrist and the breeze through your hair plus the smells of nature mixed with industrialization.....mmmmmmmmmm love........ but I wear my gear pretty much always.....

  19. I asked Lizard for any hints/tips he may be able to give to keep cool for the event. When I get too hot I feel kinda panicky, so I'm trying to plan in advance in case it's a really warm coupla days: "I usually run some sort of under armor styled stuff. It allows me to get the sweat off my skin and prevent the suit from sticking to it. You also want to DRINK a ton of water, too. Get a fan to put your helmet on to cool it in between sessions. It's tough and I have been in over 100 degree temps and ridng a bike for 1-1/2 hours at a time while endurance racing. We'd use camel backs... But, still sucked. Just fluids and fans..."
  20. cool, I'm going to pick up some under-armour type stuff and I'll definitely show up with plenty of fluids.

Thanks for the info and see you at the end of the month, if you're working that event!

  21. I made your recipe for mac n cheese. It was awesome
  22. Yeah, I usually prefer to make from scratch, unless it's been a really long day at work! I think my problem right now is that I don't want to run the oven! This one's easy and doesn't require any heat: ORIENTAL CHICKEN SALAD WITH CRUNCHY NOODLES 1 lg. head finely shredded cabbage (about 12 c.) 4 whole green onions, thinly sliced 3-4 c. cooked chicken, shredded (one of the roast chickens at the grocery works well) 2 tbsp. sugar 1/4 c. white vinegar 1/3 c. salad oil 1/2 tsp. pepper 1 pkg. Top Ramen (chicken flavor) 1/3 c. slivered almonds, toasted In a large salad bowl, combine cabbage, green onions, and chicken. In a small bowl combine the sugar, vinegar, oil, pepper and flavor packet from Top Ramen package, stir until dissolved. Pour over cabbage and toss lightly, cover and chill. Just before serving, crumble the dry noodles from soup mix into the salad. Sprinkle almonds on top and serve
