Despite my crappy lender guy dropping the ball and making my close about 24 hours late, I DID buy the house before the end of the year, yay! Schmuck and I are going to be some painting fools this weekend!!!! woo hoo

This is an unfair comment. I'm very organized about money and budgeting and saving cash for a 'rainy day'. Maybe all the women you have encountered like to 'spend every cent they encounter' but throwing out a generalized statement like that is just incorrect.

Nearly the same resolution as last year: 120 workouts in 2009. That way I don't have to be all *gung ho* in the beginning of the year and get burnt out midway through. I also think I'm going to quit boozing for a while, maybe a month or so, just until I feel slimmer and can sleep better.

Yeah, my work cut our budgets, no raises, no promotions, and no bonuses next year. But I agree with you....as long as I can keep my job, I'll be happy to work hard during the rough patch.
