I have about 12 pounds to lose and it's definitely not easy. I'm just trying to keep track of my calories because little snacks and bites of this or that can really add up. I go old school and try to follow the food pyramid. I hate demonizing food groups... I've been mixing up my workout routines and cardio is the hardest for me to go do but I know I have to if I want to lose fat. I'm a firm believer in interval training so I usually do intervals on an elliptical because it doesn't hurt my knees.

I've started the P90x program twice now and fallen off the bandwagon. It's such a huge time commitment and life just gets in the way. I tried to do it before work but I'm at the office by 7am so getting up any earlier is really difficult. Anyway, I made a 'total body' workout from the different p90x workouts and am going to try to do that twice a week plus cardio 3 times a week. It will obviously take me longer to lose the weight but hopefully it will be more sustainable.

I'll be there too, as long as I can find some way to get my bike and my person to the track. I'm going out in beginner group again, though.

I wanted to take you up on it but realized I have volleyball..... Thanks for the offer, though!

Geeze, that's a terrible story. I usually meet people somewhere to sell stuff on CL but have had them to my house a few times for furniture sales. So sad that someone would lose their life over a ring... especially when the robbers could have just taken it and left it at that.

haha, welcome to the female mind. I'm sure that not all ladies are like this but when I first started riding it was somewhat unfamiliar to me. I had dirt bike experience but the street is different. Anyway, I had to think about what to do (shift, brake, etc) before I'd do it and if I made a mistake I could get flustered, esp in a group of people. Other than that, how does she like the Buell? I looked at a Blast when I was shopping for bikes but it was wayyy too small for my height

Aww, it sucks that she didn't want to go out with you. If she only has a few miles under her belt, it probably is a little intimidating for her. I say that you should plan some more rides with just the two of you so if she makes some mistakes there's not alot of stress from wondering if people are judging her. Which, we wouldn't, of course, but it can just add pressure to be around strangers.
