That means 13 was street racing a mustang

    Yeah right!!!!

NY is mandatory helmet IIRC I don't mind riding in the rain, especially if it's hot out, and it's going to clear up later....
  3. you probably don't want much more than 50 horsepower for a beginner bike... CC's are related to power, but don't necessarily correlate. if you feel comfortable on a vtwin cruiser, I'd look more to the 500-750cc size if you want something sportier, parallel twins are more forgiving than I-4 for beginners... ninja 650, ninja 250, cb250 etc... ride what you're comfortable with, no sense forcing yourself on to something you won't enjoy as much.

    Yeah right!!!!

I don't necessarily agree with this... on bare skin it might suck, but if you got a jacket and helmet, I bet it would be less than painful, and probably not even that uncomfortable...

    Yeah right!!!!

I wonder how fast a motorcycle can physically go on a given rain covered surface... at some point (i'm betting before 190) the motorcycle tire would just hydroplane and not have any grip to the pavement at all, at which point the drag from the air would stop it accelerating, and likely slow it some...

    Yeah right!!!!

must have been a 2001 honda 929... or a jsxr 750 srad with cheng shin tires...
  7. exarch is entertaining to say the least...
  8. i enjoy them from time to time... I meet up with people, go get a bite to eat, shoot the breeze...just chill... it's also fun to watch the squids roll in, and try to out-drink the pirates, then watch them roll right past the OSHP.
  9. I just said I7 because it's an I5 with hyperthreading...
  10. both rear tires... scrub brakes, very very low tech, but actually work well enough thanks to the levers it's attached to, and the heavy duty linkages. that bar is solid steel, and is almost ground in half from all the friction off the tires over the years...
  11. mine is solid axle rear, so 2 wheel drive positrac, dad built scrub brakes for it, so those work...ehhh good enough for a 2 acre lot it's not fast, top speed is approximately 35, but it's got enough ass to pull around likwid with no issues at all... you could still build it today for less than $300 probably, less than 500 definitely... 4 wheels, steering wheel, a pair of steering arm bearings, a half a dozen other bearings, centrifugal clutch, tecumseh/briggs motor, throttle cable, chain and large sprocket, and then if you wanted to splurge and put a nice disk brake system on it, that might cost $50. some scrap steel, and an old seat, you're set.
  12. I have asked "who?" other riders? no idea, lots of bikes out today. Scare tactics by cops don't go over too well with me.
  13. yeah, like 8yr olds are fragile.... I still have my go cart from when I was 8, best $150 ever spent $110 5 horse tecumseh, and $40 flea market frame = 1 awesome cart that still runs like a charm 20 years later.
  14. thanks for doing all the leg work on this Carie!!!!
  15. interested in a medium. i love psychics... medium shirt please DONE
  16. microcenter in eastgate, mayfield heights is closer for our resident jbot...
  17. Had this happen with fonzie's niagara dtc ride... Pulled over on turnpike in new york. All received tickets. Kozmo suggested next time that we see our tail get pulled over, we all hit the next exit and wait, then split the ticket amongst the group. Seems like a good idea.
  18. Yeah... not like you want the operating system to be quicly accessible:rolleyes:
  19. Have you ever seen a side by side comparison? Seriously...
