  1. One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
  2. 50,000 and I'm not gentle... You guys agree? I guess it can't hurt either way, lol. Now what clutch kit to go with? Oem, vesrah, other?
  3. She just rolled 50,000 miles. Symptoms started before oil change, oil change had little or no effect. Been getting gradually worse over time.
  4. I don't mind freeways, I did LA and back riding 95% freeway... i got a good stereo on my bike though, and a corbin, so it's kinda like a high performance convertible to me...
  5. Hey guys, my clutch is acting awfully strange. As I release to the friction point, it jerks and tugs unevenly... it has gotten gradually worse as time goes on. I'm thinking the clutch plates are worn unevenly, causing the interfaces between plates to be uneven, and give it that "hit and miss" feeling as I'm rolling from a stop. Anyone have any experience with this type of behavior that can confirm my diagnosis, or correct me? just changed the oil with the same mobil 1 I've been running since 11,000 miles(when I got the bike back in '08)
  6. It's not impossible, just difficult. She has the torque to do it if you got the skill.
  7. i say fuck it, ride it as is, then buy a new one when you can afford it.... bikes are chaep, any claim/report on your insurance is going to cost as much or more in the long run than just buying another one.
  8. HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIKWID!...you, too cooter...
  9. stock it runs about 200 lightyears to a tank, but after his power mods, i bet it's more like 150.
  10. i think one dude trying to take on a large group like that is likely to get his ass kicked... no matter how much money he earns, he's not "taking on" and entire group.
  11. Mid 9's on a xx? Stotz was doing just under 8 seconds with the 550hp stretched and lowered turbo xx with that rediculously wide rear tire... I find it suspect that he's claiming 9 seconds on a n/a motor and no stretch...
  12. Prof just caved when I offered up the x replacement
  13. I think this is the professor's line of thinking... Try this: put an X on 16 cards, and then ask "what are the odds of drawing a card with an X?" your answer would be 16/52, right? now draw an X on the 13 diamonds, and the 3 remaining aces, the cards with the X, are the same cards referenced in the original problem, but now there is only 1 classification (whether or not the card has "X" drawn on it) I gotta believe 16/52 is the only correct answer
  14. he's defending 17/52 because there are 4 aces "plus" 13 diamonds.... doesn't sound to me like he should be teaching anyone statistics...
  15. my sister's professor has a different answer than my sister, and i agree with my sister, just looking to see where everyone is at.
  16. What are the odds of pulling either an ace or a diamond from a standard deck of 52 cards. one draw, an ace is considered success, a diamond is considered success. all other cards are considered failure, what are the odds of success?
  17. I feel for you man, that is a terrible loss, but her carrying a gun might not have meant anything changed at all, other than among the stolen goods was a gun that was used to shoot someone else. then again, as you say it could have very well meant all the difference in the world. I've said everything there is to say on my end of this topic. You have the right to carry whatever gun your government will allow you to carry (bullshit statement when you phrase it that way, huh?) so carry your guns to your heart's content. You won't find me carrying one. I simply don't need it.
  18. nope, cause if I had actually paid for that health insurance, i either wouldn't have my car, (which i need to get back and forth to work) or I wouldn't have car insurance (so i would lose my license) I would go into default on my student loan (never a good thing) or starve to death...which seems like a bad option as well. I didn't have the money, don't have the money, and for the forseeable future WONT have the money to throw $300 a month into the toilet. you make nothing but good choices? intertesting... also, I don't think I ever asked you to pay for shit... I've paid all my doctor bills (and all my other bills for that matter) excuse me what the fuck has the government provided me? a loan at a reasonable interest rate to cover tuition? that's about it, other than that, they just take take take... nope riiight, if safety means being harassed by a bunch of dickhead cops. believe me, they have taken much more of my income than they have given penalty of law, yeah that's a $1,000 fine (if it sticks), I don't have it either. but pissing away $1,000 on a bullshit fine beats pissing away $3,600 on a bullshit illusion of security. nope, I pay my own bills fully expect to.
  19. nope, I'm not carrying health insurance, because the last time I saw the business end of a hospital I was 17 years old. Right now it makes good econmical sense to not throw a bunch of money into the insurance industry. What is a typical health insurance premium? $300 a month? multiply that by the last 10 years, and I've saved $36,000.... that could buy you a halfway decent house around here. If it weren't for the law, I would probably forego auto insurance and just drive more carefully. There would be another $20,000 - $40,000 saved.
  20. I rode to work today.
  21. Noted. Thanks, but I'm really not interested in carrying a firearm. Especially on my motorcycle, because I somehow manage to lose any and all patience while riding.
  22. Feel free to carry, it is your right. I just don't feel the need to.
