  1. Tons of sources called BS on this the day it came out.

“Virus companies are playing on your fears to try to sell you BS protection software for Android, RIM, and, iOS,” DiBona said on Google+. “They are charlatans and scammers. If you work for a company selling virus protection for Android, RIM or iOS, you should be ashamed of yourself.”
  2. The problem is the all the different major media production companies are holding on to an archaic business model that doesn't work in the 21st century. Instead of trying to adapt and redesign their revenue models to embrace new technologies and the changes in society, they are trying to hold on and force everyone to do what they want. Even if something gets passed, they will ultimately lose this war. People will always find ways to get shit they want.

They need to adapt if they want to survive. Markets are consumer driven by definition. If you try to force the consumer to want something, you will lose.

  3. Didn't realize apps were that expensive. I'm sure I could through in a little.

$300 is cheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeap for an app and it's only that cheap because it's a prebuilt standard framework for vBulletin where they just change where the app gets the data from. They honestly probably don't even customize the colors by hand, just pull it from whatever the vBulletin it's for, like Ohio Riders.

Basic apps that someone needs to develop easily starts at a couple thousand $$.

  4. EDIT: Damn it, I didn't see Akron/Canton area. These guys don't work up there I don't think. I'll leave it here in case anyone else comes across this

and if they can't do it or you want another estimate, call Kyle at K&G contracting 614-260-2116. I used them for some basement and foundation work before and they know their shit and knock stuff out quick.

  5. As long as your contract has a contingency on them fixing the roof, you should be safe. Earnest money is refundable if the seller doesn't hold up their end of the deal. Take a look at the earnest money section and it should say that.

Typically, that check will not be cashed until closing. At closing, it will be given back to you or $1,000 credit will be listed on the HUD on your side.

  6. Congress shall make no law ... abridging the freedom of speech ... or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

But I don't think it was peaceful anymore. Peaceful doesn't just mean I don't have any weapons to shoot, it means not being hostile but they definitely were hostile toward the police.

  7. Deserved it.

Chant "f the police", ignore their warnings, block them so they can't leave (after asking them to leave), then yeah you deserve to get peppersprayed. All of that sound hostile and not very peaceful to me. What did you expect would happen? They told you. What did you want them to do? Leave? They tried. What other choice did they have? Wrap it all up with "now we'll give you a moment of peace"....? I thought this was a "peaceful" protest to begin with?
