  1. I'm calling either error by Delta employees or bullshit info.

    http://www.delta.com/traveling_checkin/baggage/checked/index.jsp

Active duty U.S. military personnel traveling on orders to or from duty stations are allowed up to four checked bags in Economy Class and up to five checked bags in First and Business Class on Delta and Delta Connection® carriers at no charge. Each bag may weigh up to 70 lbs. (32 kg) and measure up to 80 linear inches (203 cm).

Additionally, military personnel traveling on personal business will be allowed two checked bags up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and 62 linear inches (158 cm) at no charge.

I was just going to copy and paste that.

  2. OK, so I did notice a slight haziness inside the truck but thought I was just seeing things because there wasn't much light. I don't see anything leaking under the dash.

  3. 3 of those cans is probably way too much....too much freon will make it blow hot air just the same as having none

I agree. I was watching the gauge and it never really went up that far and after each can was empty it slowly but steadily dropped back down to nothing. I went out there just now and used a punch to push in the pin on the low side valve to see if I could let some out and nothing came out whether the truck was running or not, whether the low pressure switch was jumped or not. Seems as though it's not keeping pressure, indicating a leak still I suppose, unless I'm just doing something wrong. The fact that I replaced the low pressure switch (it was pretty bad) and the compressor still doesn't turn on without me jumping it also indicates that. :/ gay.... I'd like to have this fixed before Thursday morning as I have to drive it to South Carolina and back to help my sister move :(

  4. 96 Chevy 2500HD (4.3L V6 from a 1500 though)

    AC blows warm air

The AC compressor only comes on when I jump the low pressure switch. I've charged it with like 3 of those R134a cans but no luck. I replaced the low pressure switch and after putting the last can in, I see a little bit of something dripping from what looks like an overflow tube underneath the AC accumulator coming out of the firewall. The fluid is a little oily and I suppose it could be the R134a fluid stuff but the overflow tube comes out of the firewall and I can't tell where it's coming from. I assume I have a leak somewhere but I'm not sure where or how to find it.

    Any help?

  5. I like the front plate. If they want to plug that 1.65m hole then just drop the subsidy and charge the actual price for the plates.

    ^this

I agree, just charge whatever it costs for the plates. No, I don't think front plates look nice, but it does help catch criminals. At worst, charge at cost and allow us to take it as a tax deduction and people will get over it.

  6. Today I had a person cut me off by turning left to get in front of me. I slowed down when I caught up to them and was kind of annoyed, but whatever. Then they start turning around looking at me, yelling something. The backseat passenger (with a 10 yr old kid next to her - excellent role model) leaned outside the window yelling and flipping me off and then flicked her cigarette at me. I shrugged it off after they turned off. People are stupid and immature

  7. PM me the vin number and email. I think I still have one or two reports left from when I was looking at buying a vehicle. I am never going to use them so if I can remember my info I will get you a report for free.

krystyn is awesome, i'll let you know when i get it from them

I know nothing about the civics anymore but check for creases in the rear quarter panels, this will no doubt show whether it was high speed or fender bender
Exactly, Unibody cars may twist, or crease in weird areas when wrecked. Look this thing over top to bottom. I'm assuming your paying cash or getting a personnel loan? I dont think the banks would give a regular car loan on a salvage/salvage rebuilt.

Good to know, I'll add it to the list to check.

  8. With the front bumper and hood replaced, any way to know if the airbags went off? I know you indicated it passed Honda 100 point inspection, but not sure what that means. Inspection does not seem to indicate the same thing Honda certified.

Although I might be tempted too for alot of car for not much money.

Good point on the airbags. I'll try to find that out. I believe it will give that information in a carfax report but I'd like to avoid the $35 if I can.

Honda would never certify a car with a rebuilt title but I just took it to mean that a dealership went over the car and couldn't find anything wrong with it, so that's a good thing.

  9. That makes sense. I thought the same thing about it being salvaged for what sounds like a fender bender. Not really sure if I could find out if that's the truth or not via CarFax but they seem like cool people and it passed Honda inspection :dunno:

  10. My current bike is a rebuilt title so I'm not completely against salvage or rebuilt titles, but just seeing if anyone else has any comments on experiences they've had. The car I'm looking at is an 09 Civic Hybrid.

OK now, that we're past the Civic and hybrid jokes, it was declared rebuilt after replacing the hood, front bumper, driver side fender and headlight. It went through a Honda 100 point inspection and passed just fine. Retail is around $22k with the options it has (leather, navi, etc) with 17k miles on it, they are asking $14,400.

The obvious con is that although it is new, the warranty is voided by the rebuilt title. What else?
