Just ordered one after reading a ton of reviews. Anyone else have one? What's your round count and have you added anything to the gun? I'll be doing night sights and probably a stipple here and there.

My "give a fuck about" gun will probably only ever see pmags. My " don't give a fuck" gun don't give a fuck if its metal or polymer, whatever is cheap, reliable, and available.

I'm looking for a surgeon in or around Columbus to have 2 hernias repaired. 1 abdominal and 1 groin that I have had for probably 4-5 years now. They have progressive gotten worse over the past 6 months and I will need to pass a fairly extensive physical this summer. I would prefer the fastest recovery possible due to the demands of my job. Anyone have some suggestions or personal experience with having a hernia repaired?

My parents shop was built by Mark Strait of Straitline Structures. It's an all steel 60x100 20' at the eves with 3 18' tall overhead doors and 2 walk in doors. 80' radiant heater running down the middle of the shop. As far as electric, there is a 4 outlet box for 110 every 20 feet. There are 4 220 boxes in the middle of the walls. My welder extension cord is 50 feet so I can reach any spot in the shop. There is a room built with heat inside that has a few arcade games, fridge/freezer, stereo, pool table, and my reloading bench. Over that room is a loft for storage and random junk. Things you may want to consider: -Decide what size you like, then go with the next size bigger. My parents had another pole barn built within 5 years. -Have drains placed just inside every overhead door and have the concrete sloped more than standard sloping. -Skylights

I'm in a toss up between doing cerakote or durabake myself or having someone do moly resin on my 300 blackout. It's just rattle canned for now until I decide if I'm content with having something more permanent/expensive done.

The only STI's that I've ever looked into were full size competition race guns but that was a short lived fantasy so I don't have much insight to add to this discussion. Are you looking for one to carry? The biggest hurdle to overcome with carrying a 1911, whether lightweight or not, is the weight. Without a decent holster, you will have trouble. Once it's in a holster that distributes the weight well, it's a cake walk. My EDC is a Kimber custom carry II. The aluminum frame and 8 rounds makes a decent weight savings over a steel frame but it is still heavier than most full size polymers with 15+.

IIRC the slides are cast. What's the price on the 3.0? You can shoot my Kimber sometime if you want but you've gotta buy the ammo lol
