  1. While we're on the subject, .223 wylde is another marking that you will find on the barrel of AR's. .223 wylde marked guns are 5.56 safe due to the wylde being designed to withstand 5.56 chamber pressure. 5.56 rounds have a higher chamber pressure because the military brass is typically thicker in the root of the brass near the head when compared to commercial brass.
  2. Why would you even want to shoot 5.56 or 7.62 at an indoor range?
  3. We should start a weld porn thread. I don't want to clog up this thread.
  4. If anyone is looking to reload 30-30, I have about 130 pieces of once fired brass that was reloaded but never fired. I pulled the bullets and deprimed. I can wet tumble them if someone wants. I'll trade them for other brass (9mm, 357mag, 38spc, or LC .223), projectiles, primers, or powder. I also have some deprimed and wet tumbled once fired 44mag brass. Don't remember the exact count but I think it was about 100. I can get an exact count later but same stipulations as above.

    Gun Question

I don't think a gun needs to be quality to have sentimental value later down the road. My first .22 rifle was an old Mossberg Model C single shot when I was about 5. It was scratched, rusted, and had a small chunk missing out of the left side of the butt. My mom restores antique furniture so she helped me strip the finish, sand out all the scratches, and filled the missing chunk with wood filler. We refinished the stock and removed all the rust with 0000 steel wool. The gun probably isn't worth shit to anyone else, but I'll never get rid of it.
  6. I didn't really want to tell you this way but, remember that week when you were at SHOT?
  7. I'd say the most fun turn to run off in at Putnam would be turn 5. Once you hit the grass, if you can hop the dip, you'll be just fine if you don't hit the fence. Don't ask how I know this.

    Howa Rifles?

The Remington sps tactical is a 1:9 twist in .223.

    Howa Rifles?

I see the advantages like this. Howa, savage, and tikka all have detached magazines. Not sure how many rounds each will hold or the availability of magazines but at least you start with detached bottom metal. The 700 has no detached magazine but bottom metal upgrades are available from surgeon and seekins. The aftermarket for the 700 far surpasses any of the aforementioned rifles though. It all depends on what your plans for the gun are and your budget.
  10. Looks good. Step back into the stops a bit more when restarting.
  11. Just sent a 1 year old Lincoln precision tig 275 in for warranty work this week. The high frequency start went out of it. The backup miller syncrowave is now the permanent replacement. If it's not blue, it's not worth a damn.

    SOLD

Why weren't you selling this 2 weeks ago? :fuuuu: Interested in any trades?
  13. Mr. Biden, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this country is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
  14. Dale at delta epsilon carries frog lube in liquid, paste, and sometimes has the kit.
  15. Beatercamaro Have you ever been tested for diabeetus? That was a serious question that can help with suggestions for you.
  16. Pay what you are willing to pay but don't go overboard. I haven't bought a mag since all the bullshit started. Prices will come back, and the worry worts will start selling off what they overpaid for.
  17. I always end up 3/4 of the way through a book before I give up. Haven't completely read a book since probably jr high. Spark notes worked great in high school and a few years of college.
  18. Especially when it's a revolver as small as the j frame or lcr. 10oz of shit in a 5oz bag.
  19. I picked up an LCR in 357 last night at gander. I wanted a S&W Lightweight but they didn't have them in 357 mag. Did a full disassembly and first application of froglube as soon as I got home. If you think a revolver has minimal parts, do a full disassembly and then we'll talk. I'll take a full disassembly of a 1911 any day over a revolver.
