Any leather repair or leather sewing bubbys?

I got a used set of leathers from another member (hint: they smell like track guy ball sweat. BONUS!!!) and like the P.O., they have gone down.

They survived very well except a spot on the left arm where the venting cloth has been torn from the leather.

It just needs a half ass patch so it doesn't tear any more.

Does anyone here have the ability to sew leather?

Actually I can sew leather, but I'm not or I would have fixed them a long time ago lol.

I got thread and needles from JoAnns for 11 bux and fixed my Volvo's ripped leather. Took about 2 hours after breaking a few needles but the rip was way bigger, and sewing leather to leather is more difficult then leather to material.

Thanks brother. That's a good idea. Maybe I'll pick up a sewing needle and some material and give it a shot. I took one semester of home ec in high school. If I can make a race Car pillow, I think I can handle it.

By the way, they fit Like a glove. A sweaty well oiled glove.

they don't use normal thread you can buy at walmart on riding gear. I'd send it off to barnacle bills in kentucky or look up spyder leather works. you can even have the cleaned.
