Tonik
Did a two day run through the Laurel Highlands this weekend, first time I have been over there. It was intended to be a couples/touristy trip but the roads were extremely awesome. Slabbed the turnpike over to exit 91 in PA (18 bucks in PA tolls). Took 381 south, stopping at Falling Water. That is a famous Frank Lloyd Wright house for those of you that have not heard of it. Did the full house tour, then south more on 381 which turns into WV 8 then onto WV 26 to 50 to 250. Spent the night in Fairmont WV, then 250 back to New Philly, stopping in Moundsville WV to tour the state penitentiary and look at the mound full of dead indians. 381/8/26 was pretty amazing, very curvy and well paved roads. Even with the holiday it wasn't very busy at all. Hardly ever got stuck behind anyone. 250 from Fairmount to Moundsville was awesome. Here is the link to the full route, the board seems to be eating stop D in New Philly. http://goo.gl/maps/3n9Zh https://maps.google.com/maps?saddr=Seven+Hills,+OH&daddr=PA-381+S%2FPA-711+S+to:39.73722,-79.6263386+to:39.389454,-79.7013702+to:39.3608825,-80.1275742+to:US-250+N+to:New+Philadelphia,+OH&hl=en&ll=40.258569,-80.683594&spn=3.625823,7.13562&sll=39.512517,-80.073166&sspn=0.45822,0.891953&geocode=FYKkdwIdMbgh-ymZrJhlMeQwiDFnefOR1iAYZw%3BFc6SYwId7CNF-w%3BFYRXXgIdnv9A-yk5GK--QUQ1iDEDdjTZDs9ZIw%3BFQ4JWQIdhto_-ym9OFUiAqNKiDHewSzxyLjLAw%3BFXKZWAIdqlk5-ym3ZMmE9mJKiDFj1z8jyqVw3w%3BFZGxWgIdy1Q4-w%3BFTvTaQId2Twl-ylNeiRaTuM2iDHy21XmI1bVrw&oq=new+phil&mra=dme&mrsp=5&sz=11&via=2,3,4&t=m&z=8 Edited July 10, 2013 by Casper
RVTPilot
Nice! Each time I drive to D.C. and go past the Highlands I am curious as to what kind of ride that might be. Sounds like it is one worth making some time for.

Sounds like it is one worth making some time for. It really was awesome, the wife and the other couple that was with us both said that not counting the dragon the roads are better and more fun than the Smokeys. I tend to agree. Dunno how much more of it there is beside 381, but I intend to find out.

Medina
I go to Punxy all the time, roads are amazing all over there. we do 3 hour runs all the time, Hour and a half out, then back home. Doesn't matter, we just grab a road and go.
Vulcan_Rider
I have gone to Johnstown a bunch of times and I love the riding out that way. The roads going up and down the mountains are amazing.
