jbot
phone nerds, this is a once in a 30 day opportunity. behold, the ubuntu phone! http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ubuntu-edge it will almost certainly not meet the goals, but whatever. why the hell not? also, you cannot play ubuntu as a scrabble word. probably. Bitani
They had me at "sapphire crystal display." Why the smartphone companies haven't already started using them over Gorilla Glass I've always wondered... (totally worth the premium on the expensive phones)
JStump
Wow, that looks incredible! 2 people have even pledged 10k for the thing. I highly doubt it will hit 32 mil though. Edited July 23, 2013 by JStump

flounder
If they make it and it works, it could be revolutionary. They need to make sure they use the right chipsets for the LTE as well as wireless in order to allow for full packet capture and injection and the hackers/pentesters will be all over it as well. After the phone comes the tablet and if it works like as planned, you could see quite the change in mobile computing. Right now there is still quite a gap between functionality of a tablet and a labtop but this could really narrow the field.
