Dispute A Charge On A Credit Card

I agree with the majority. The hotel was trying to do you a favor. You don't go spit in their face after they extend you a courtesy.

After all, you left the toy there. Maybe $18 is enough to teach the lesson to turn the room over twice and get full accountability before leaving. Attention to detail fixes a lot of things.

Or how about teach your kid a lesson to take care of his shit better. Should have told the hotel to donate it to some kid who doesn't have any toys or get to go on vacation. It's not the hotels fault neither you nor your child can keep track of a stuffed animal.

Ever left something in a hotel? Its happend to me.

If I have it's been a long time. I pack everything up then put my bags by the door and do a sweep of the room. All the towels go in the bathtub, go through the sheets then pile them on the bed, look under the bed, then check all the rest of the furniture.
