smccrory
Ok I think we've beat up on Scruit enough. :-) Truth is, we've all done the exact same thing! Scruit I think you're into something with waiting to merge until later, though its always a tough call and probably traffic dependent. That's a tough interchange. In any case, wishing you safe commutes. Thanks for being a good sport and provoking a good debate.
ohiomike
Motorcyclists, whether 'right or wrong' in situations like this, if there is a collision, are going to be the ones who get the worst of it. Sure, the biker might have done the 'right' thing, but still can die from the 'mistake' the person in the car or truck commits. Thanks goodness it all turned out well, but lloks like it could have turned out bad very easily.
JohnG
Problem is I need to exit on 71. Ewww. North or South? South you might want to seriously consider 315 and get off 270 before the big cluster fuck, which is only going to get worse next week (and for the next three years) when they rehab that area around 23. If you gotta go North you're pretty much screwed... The only decent back road route I've found that even remotely gets you back to 71 north is via 36/37... It may be scenic, but it ain't quick. Stay safe out there.
Ron505
With her signal on, I would not have made the lane change at the time that you did. No disrespect intended, that's just how I am. Glad you were alert and here to share! Edited September 13, 2013 by Ron505
Scruit
With her signal on, I would not have made the lane change at the time that you did. Had I seen her signal before I made my lane change, I would have stayed put. Edited September 13, 2013 by Scruit
