Weighing in at just under 4.5 lbs on our shipping scale for a size 44, the Mag-1 boots are considerably lighter than the Vortice boots. With weight savings at the forefront of the new design, gone is the replaceable sole. However, SIDI uses a dual compound sole designed for longevity. Also note the heel cup is significantly cut back, still keeping protection in the key area but cutting away at the inside of the cup to maintain a slim profile and cut unnecessary weight. All new Micrometric Techno-3 magnetic closure system is still just as easy to use as before but lighter than the previous iteration. Retails at $495. Also, the toe box is double stitched and reinforced for added safety in the SIDI Mag-1 boots available at Riders Discount. The new refined adjuster system is stronger and easier to use. Using stainless steel cable held in place via magnets, the new Micrometric Techno-3 system is going to be even more resistant to breaking. From L to R: fluorescent yellow, black, white/black, white/black vented. The only ventilated Mag-1 boot available is in white/black.
