A cog is simply another name for a gear which is the prevalent theme throughout this helmet. On the right side we have various cogwheels and reducer gears connected to an antiqued rod and piston. On the left side the cogs are connected to a smashed and exposed tachometer. All the cog elements have a metallic property to them and the flake really comes out in the light.
