Wojo72
Has anybody put one of these through the ringer? I'm looking at entry level 1911s. They seem to get decent reviews on the net. I want something that I can use as a range toy as well as CCW.
max power
Casper has one. Not sure he's shot it.
Tonik
A buddy has one, it is exactly what you say it is...an entry level 1911. Shoots well and is reliable. Are you a big guy? Cuz that is a giant gun to carry if you ain't.
Wojo72
I don't think that I qualify as a big dude but I don't have any issues carrying a Glock 22.

Of course I have another bike to ride, but will likely be in the garage working on my other.

zx3vfr
RIA is what a 1911 should be. With a little bit of rattle. During service these things were not built to nearly the standard Para and Kimber even Springfield build them to now.
owndjoo
My only issue with the one I had was the barrel bushing. It was sloppy, do the shake test. If it rattles choose a different one. I shot mine back to back with a Springfield Mil-Spec (RIA 2011 Tact), and it wasn't even close to as consistent in groups. The springfield wasn't much more than the RIA and was a tack driver
