See some barricades and the detour signs up.....looks like something will be happening on 514, dunno, but there ya go.

Hopefully it will be the current trend of shut down during the day and open up on weekends.

Just a heads up.

60 from 16 north to Warsaw has no closures & is in pretty great shape. My new job has me driving up there several times a month, & I have been amazed at how nice of a riding road that is. I wasn't that impressed looking at it on the maps compared to Southeast Ohio, but in person, it was quite nice.

No idea on the good stretch of 62 at present

As above notes....60 is open. I traveled it to Zanesville from Killbuckia, Saturday. 62 is open...some sort of shoulder work going on at Brinkhaven, no prob getting thru. 62/83 just south of Mlbg has a one lane with traffic light set up. Again, no real problem getting thru.

Yesterday afternoon....514 barricades up, and early this AM (like 4AM), the barricades still slid to "Road Closed" position. See official detour signs along 62, not sure where they are taking you.

If ya hafta go north, grab 205 outa Danville, it will take you to SR3 and towards Loudonville. 205 is a series of 90* connected by short straights.

I'll explore more this weekend as time permits and update when I can. Momma says, SR83 has a 3-4 Day closure north of Mlbg now too...I don't go that way much, so on yer own there.

I'm back....visited the job site yesterday. The barricades were up for road closed, but yesterday they were maintaining traffic, using one lane and flagmen. The construction guy said, ditch work and culvert replacements going on.

So take yer chances on it being open.

My un-official go around....From Danville North, use 205, at the ball field just north of Danville square on left is 205. That will bring you out on SR3 - a little town and turning right at the stop sign...3 will take you to Loudonville and Mohican forest.

If you really are adventurous.....try and find the elk farm.....hint, from 205 take the county road with signage for Valley ATV....there ya go...a ride idea....kinda like a scavenger hunt....find the elks!

I go by the Elks when I go to Valley for oil filters. It's really neat to see them when they are close to the road. Do you know what they do with them? Do they sell the meat? I never see a sign about the business

I found this about 514:  http://www.dot.state.oh.us/districts/D05/newsreleases/Pages/SR-514-in-Knox-County-to-Close-Next-Week.aspx

I was looking because I have to drive up to North Canton for GM training 2 times in June.  I will probably just go up through Mt Vernon and take 3 to 30, but I sometimes like taking 514 to 226 to 3 to 30.  All the twists and turns in a Caddy will keep ya awake!  I remember the first time that I went up there last year, 3 was closed somewhere, detour sent me backtracking across 205 to 514, right in Danville!  I still made it in plenty of time.

No idea, I would presume that they ain't pets, but I really don't know. Antlers seem to be a big market. I attended an auction and saw antlers bringing big bucks.

Prolee a visit to the Kaufman's and talk to them....if you see them on the porch, excuse yourself and talk with them.

Ha! No handy way to get to N. canton from here....your route sounds like the best.....I would hafta fight tourists in Berlin and such.

Took 514 from Greer to Danville tonight and it was open. Did see some spots where culverts were replaced and road closed signs pulled to the side. so it looks like they are doing the work during the week and opening during the weekend. I could be wrong, but it was open tonight.

Kinda the way I'm thinking too.
