dustinsn3485
Dad bought it last fall thinking he wanted a quasi track bike and something to hooligan around on. He never rode it and decided he's not going to. Only thing he's done is changed the oil and put on a newer set of Pirelli Angel GT tires. They've got about 2000 miles on them. Bike has under 6000 miles. In excellent condition. Any questions message me. Figure about $8000 asking price.

dustinsn3485
It can be yours. Someone has got to want it. I've got the same bike, with modifications. I can say it's a great ride!
Gixxus Christ!
So much want.
330racing
I wonder how a new ZX-10r with an LSL bar kit would compare to these? You get a more competent bike, with a comfortable riding position...could even add a bigger windscreen....
jschaf
I bought my ninja for the legroom. ZX10-R is lacking that. You would get a purpose built track bike with high handlebars. Completely different animals.
dustinsn3485
Totally agree with that. The seating is different, footpeg position is different. powerband, gearing, everything.

The Ninja 1000 chassis and engine were plenty competent up to about 9/10 riding. Beyond that I recall complaints of front end chatter. do they make hard luggage for the Ninja 1000? seems like a touring wind screen and a set of hard bags would make this thing the fastest way to travel across the country... dustinsn3485
They do make hard luggage, expensive though. I went with twisted throttle semi hard bags on mine. I've also got a touring windscreen and upgraded all the suspension with traxxion dynamics. Added a akropovic exhaust and had the ecu reflashed. The windscreen is 3 position manual adjustable so it doesn't have to stand up so high in nice weather. This is my bike... TimTheAzn
I like it better in black. Also that is one tall windscreen!
dustinsn3485
You wouldn't believe the wind, rain, cold protection it provides in crappy weather though!Someone needs the bike for sale, it's a great all around sport tourer. I daresay the best in current production.
jschaf
Your asking price may be an issue. Potential buyers can buy a 2014 ABS model with zero miles for $999 more if they look on cycletrader.
dustinsn3485
Its not firm. Wording should define that.

max power
How about you just tell him you're interested and send him a PM?
dustinsn3485
He's not interested in selling to a dealer yet. It's encouraging to know what a dealer would give though. I think the $7500 asking price is pretty fair. And there is wiggle room at that price too
dustinsn3485
Anybody interested at 6500?
dustinsn3485
I think there's probably a little flexibility left on price...no interest at all still?
Ryan_c_F
I'd have to sell mine before buying this. Good bike, too late in the season to find most motivated buyers IMHO.
JaSSon
I'd like a sport touring, any interest in trading for an '06 RS Midnight Warrior?
dustinsn3485
Nah, he doesn't want anymore bikes. May just hang onto it til next spring unless someone makes a fair offer.
