I never thought VTEC was a good idea for a motorcycle. Honda toned the effect down on the Gen 8, kinda surprised that they even kept it at all.

The VFR1200 doesn't have VTEC.

I was hoping you'd chime in, it seems like you love your vfr1200. Next bike around I'll have to give one of those a look.

I knew I would own a VFR1200 5 minutes into my test ride.  It's the kind of bike you have to ride to appreciate.  In this case, the specs and marketing didn't tell the story.

 

Build quality and refinement are higher than any other bike I've owned (there have been many).  It corners better than you can imagine for a 600 lb motorcycle.  A V4 that puts down 145 hp and 82 ft/lbs at the real wheel is quite entertaining :)
