Tonik
Leaving 480 77 area 8am ish. Looks like about 8 hours total. This will be medium or spirited cruiser speed or some such shit. https://goo.gl/maps/RJTvN
Tonik
Well, it was epic. Great roads, very little traffic. No one ran out of gas or wrecked.147 is killer right now. All new pavement.
drc32-0
I assume they are done paving 9 from Centerville to Armstrong Mills?A friend and I were over there a few weeks ago and they were working on the second layer then. That's a pretty fun road too. Tonik
Didn't hit that. But talked to a couple at a gas stop that had, it's done and in great sharp they said.

Ryan_c_F
Sorry broham, hard to get work-days off. Sounds like a good ride, and you had a nice day for it.

The first 5 miles of 9 from I70 south is all that is left to pave and should be finished this week. Smooth as a baby's behind to Armstrong Mills :-)

EOdesmo
Terry, how is 556?Hi Tony, Sadly, 556 is in pretty bad shape. Its been patched everywhere. There are several slips that really get your attention and its generally dirty. Worse at the well site entrances. Had I not been on a Sumo, it would have been painful to ride on. At 9am on a sunday morning I counted we made 9 passes between Beallsville and Clarington. All but 1 were frack water trucks.... Unfortunately, from what I've been told by a few locals, it may be years before they're finished drilling in that area. Sad.
Tonik
148 is a freaking disaster from the coal trucks. Miles of double ruts from the tires sinking into the asphalt. Anyone know how 255 is? I like that road but skipped it this time.

Sad.This is why I haven't been riding east of I77 the last couple of years. It's been a long time since a lot of the good roads have been paved and the effects of fracking has only made it worse.Too much good stuff west of 77 to bother with riding east very often. PhilD'oh!
The wrong date threw me. Doesn't matter, I rode to Titoute for lunch that day (Sunday the 23rd). How about a repeat this Sunday 8/30...or in your case 8/31, since you're a day ahead of us? I need to wear off the last 2k miles on these tires before mid September.
