Hillary Just a Thought.

What are the provisions if Hillary gets elected into the presidency and then gets convicted? Do we keep paying her salary? How would a conviction after the election change things? Would she be forced to step down? Would she be impeached?

First, she isn't going to get convicted. Those laws are written for people that are spies or that intentionally give away secrets.  They simply do not apply to someone that is stupid and does something stupid.

That said, if she gets convicted she can still serve. Unless  the House impeaches her (which means bring charges) and the Senate would then have a trial on those charges and if convicted she would be removed from office.

It would never come to that, if convicted she would cut a deal with her VP to be pardoned if she resigns.  Just like with Nixon.

But again, she isn't going down for the emails.

If by chance she did get convicted. Would her Secret Service Team have to go with her after all she was at one time the First Lady and she will have them for protection for the rest of her life. She would running the prison in no time with her armed guards

Saw a headline last night "No evidence Hillary willfully broke the law".

When was guilt ever relevant to whether breaking the law was done through ignorance, by accident, or on purpose? I forgot, politicians get special exemptions...asshats.

The Republican Party really screwed the pooch on this one. It's pretty unlikely that Hillary will be convicted & very likely that she will be elected president, given the opposition.

Same people saying that said Donald would never last on the primary. And that he would not get the delegates. And that the Repubs would change the convention rules to lock him out.

Nobody has brought up the really shady stuff with Hillary.  I still don't understand why Sanders didn't bring up the Clinton Foundation activities.  Large donations from countries dealing with Hillary while she was Secretary of State & etc.  Either you enter the race to win, or you don't.  You play to win the game.

Hilly will be Bill 2.0. BTW, Bill was the best moderate Republican the Democratic party ever managed to get elected.

"liberal". Such a funny word.

Yep.  Most places in the world (except here), it is based on the word liberty.  A liberal economy means a free market economy.  Here, liberal means democratic socialism.  It is a funny word.

You sure?  She's never struck me as much of a 'giver'

Positive. My kid hacked her email server. I got pics. I'll release them as an October surprise.

Always thought it was funny when people call themselves "liberals", but they only think liberally about few subjects.

It's easier once you think of yourself as morally superior to the general populous and smart enough to provide for (control) their lives for their own progressive good. It takes some (ok maybe all) of the hypocrisy out of it. In other words, a shift from Liberty for all, to liberty for us and who we like.

Possibly the most accurate description of a progressive liberal I have seen in awhile.

I might add...blatant intolerance for those that don't share your social views.

Federal Law: Title 18. Section 2071
Can it be any clearer?
Former United States Attorney General Michael Mukasey tells MSNBC that not only is Hillary Clinton's private email server illegal, it "disqualifies" her from holding any federal office.
Such as, say, President of the United States.
"If you do this or that bad thing, you've essentially disqualified yourself as being the leader of the free world," said Mukasey, referring to the illegal server and the illegal handling of classified materials.
Mukasey specifically points to one federal law, Title 18. Section 2071.
For those of us who do not have United States Code committed to memory, here's what it says:
“(a)
Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b)
Whoever, having the custody of any such record, proceeding, map, book, document, paper, or other thing, willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States. As used in this subsection, the term “office” does not include the office held by any person as a retired officer of the Armed Forces of the United States.”
Yes, it explicitly states "shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."
