i have a 2001 rc51 it turns on fuel pump primes tail light relays click but no click

from starting relay. there is no continuity to starting relay.. my fuel pump came on and did not did not go off until i hit kill switch .. that was a first ..it was low on fuel so i filled it up the fuel pump was ok first time i tried to start but no ignition ... ne ideas if its a spark plug issue, starting relay problem or wiring problem ... i have the service manual (if someone needs a copy will happily send u pics of what u need) ive pretty much tried all the troubleshooting fixes but still wont turn over .. if ne one has the answer please let me know

The multimeter reads 12.3 on battery ... I'll check switch and bank angle sensor... Haven't tried push starting yet ... I'll check all the leads on plug wires ..thanks and I'll keep u posted on progress today

12.3 is low and many bikes will not turnover with anything less than 12.8.  Battery should read 13+ with no load.

The tail has two relays one for the fuel cut off and the other is a bank angle. Take the relay from the high beams its on the left side front and swap it with the two relays in the back. Easy way to rule out the relays. They are all the same so no worries.

It was the ground wire on the motor... Usually something stupid ... We checked all relays the neutral switch clutch switch and Sid stand switch they were all showing continuity so we checked the ground to motor has a slight film on it cleaned it up and that allowed the starter relay to get current it is running like an rc should ... It's usually something stupid and it was and just happened to be the last thing I checked but it's running now so I'm pumped ... Thanks for the advice and tips

Having had a few ground wires between battery, frame or engine fail on bikes and cars... I always check and repair them first when doing a no start. If the battery is good, of course...

Quick and easy check is to jumper from battery ground to conductive engine part and try a start.
