Has Anyone Dyed Furniture Before?

So I ordered a new platform bed for my son on amazon because he has outgrown his twin. I ordered a Black Faux Leather Upholstered Platform Bed like this one.

When it came yesterday we opened the box and we received a White cloth one like this......

Ask for to return it to exchange and was told they didn't want it back and they gave me a full refund without return. And just told us to reorder it. So basically due to their fuck up we got a free bed. Well trying to make lemon ade out of tomatoes we thought maybe we could just dye it black or dark grey. Has anyone ever dyed a piece of furniture successfully? I seen this product on amazon and wondered how well it would work. https://www.amazon.com/Deval-Products-Upholstery-8-Ounce-Midnight/dp/B002664ASY/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1478797312&sr=8-10&keywords=spray+dye

This bed matches NOTHING in our house and lets be honest its for a teenager, how long do you think it will stay clean being that color.

Okay the wife has spoken and decided.

"Fuck It, it's a free bed. Throw it in his room (as is) and who gives a fuck if it matches. If it gets  dirty or soiled from the light color, refer to the first part of this statement. Fuck it, it's a free bed"

 why I love that women
