Aimed directly at the fast trackday rider or any racer on a budget, the Atem V3 suit is an all-leather affair that provides exceptional durability for years of reliable use. These suits, while designed with a full-tuck cut, are surprisingly comfortable and flexible which lends them well to relaxing between sessions on-track or when you’re out on the road. Accordion leather panels and Alpinestars Hyper-Rest Stretch Fiber (HRSF) stretch material are positioned in all the right places to accommodate a wide range of positions, shapes and sizes, and all of it without giving away any protection.

Speaking of protection, CE-certified armor is everywhere in this suit: knees/shins, hips, elbows/forearms and shoulders. Armor in the knees, elbows and shoulders are enhanced with Alpinestars’ Dynamic Friction Shield (DFS) protectors on the exterior portions. Especially in the shoulders and knees, these strong, yet flexible pieces of armor protect what are particularly the most vulnerable stitches of any leather suit, from separation on impact. Plus, they allow air to be delivered to areas not normally serviced without compromising safety. The result is a safe suit that’ll stand up to years of use … and abuse while still remaining comfortable.

Additionally, you can easily add any Alpinestars Nucleon protectors to the back and chest to enhance an already well-equipped suit. The back protector snaps into an easily adjustment button just below the neck of the suit, and the chest parts are secured in compartments on the front side. And inside the suit, you’re surrounded by a removable/washable, 3D mesh liner that not only prevents the leather from sticking against the skin, but also, aids in keeping you cool.

 

On the outside of the 1.3mm bovine suit, the chest and thighs are carefully perforated. And, because the resounding theme here is comfort, neoprene is installed on all cuffs: neck, wrists and ankles to avoid chafing. Knee sliders are standard Alpinestars affairs that are held in place with hook-and-loop fasteners. And for those of you that can corner low, replaceable elbow sliders are fitted as standard. These are secured with screws and take but a few minutes to swap out.
