Gergwheel1647545492
This is a picture of the engine compartment after we pulled the stock 3.4 out of my firebird. http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/Dirty.JPG This is after about 2 hours of scrubbing and power washing the engine compartment. http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/Clean.JPG This is a picture of the Grand National engine resting in its new home. I know it is still missing a couple of things. http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/Engine.JPG

JaSSon
...let me see.... You pulled the stock motor, cleaned it with your toothbrush, and it got filthy while you installed a turbo brick motor?
Gergwheel1647545492
haha no i pulled the old motor, put in the buick to make sure everything fit ok, then pulled it out and THEN cleaned it with my toothbrush.
Nate1647545505
Awesome! Good motor choice!! Tap the Windsheild Washer resivoir and load that bitch up with water injection! Most effective thing for a hundred bucks you can do to that motor!

MrMeanGreen
Impressive to say the least! How are you handling the engine management and weak drivetrain (notably, the rear end)?
Gergwheel1647545492
engine management will be handled by rl smile.gif Basically i have a buick computer and a pontiac computer and im going to run them both so i dont lose some of the things from the pontiac one. Then the buick computer will control just the engine. The rear end is a 94 z28 rear end so it is better than the v6 rear, and will hold up for a decent amout of time. gotta remember im running the stock turbo and i am only hoping for low 12's this season

Jeffrey
Nice swap, and yes water/alcohol does wonders on these motors I would look into it, very easy 11's even on a stock turbo.

Gergwheel1647545492
Here are some more up to date pics of the car, if everything goes as planned she might be running this weekend, there are also some shots of the muffler i will be using . All i have left to do is power steering, torque arm mount, and mount the throttle cable. Then rl has to wire it all up and then its time for some graemlins/burnout02.gif . http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/TT/Engine1.JPG http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/TT/Engine2.JPG http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/TT/Engine3.JPG http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/TT/Muffler1.JPG http://www.personal.kent.edu/~gwheelan/TT/Muffler2.JPG
