Buck531
Is is even remotely possible to break a spring inside the accumulator inside an AOD trans? Specifically the 2-3 shift.
Dave1647545494
I've seen the actual accumulator break in a chrysler before not a spring though they usually just get weak and make it shift sloppy
rl
The accumulator can crack... for everything you ever wanted to know about AOD's read the jerry trans tech article on www.tccoa.com
Buck531
hmm. There's a good 2-3 second pause in the 1-2 shift. (keep in mind, this is ONLY at when the car is cold and hasn't ran for a good 5 hours). THen on the 2-3 shift. does the same thing, but bangs into 3rd. When it warms up (like after ~5 minutes), the 1-2 shift is fine, no lag in between 2-3, but it still bangs into gear. You can really feel it too. What i'm trying NOT to do is have to buy a whole new f'n trans.. .
Buck531
Update. It still sort of lags on the 1-2 and 2-3 shift. However, it slips pretty bad in 1st.. ONLY when it's cold though . After it warms up it's fine. Today I was leaving my house and it got up to about 3500 in first and then banged into 1st and chirped the tires.. Is this a line pressure problem? It doesn't bang into 3rd anymore.. I think it was either over filled or not enough fluid in it. but that part went away. Anyone?
